A gentle beast from the East

The Sweetest Time tells of a suspended moment, where time seems to stand still. The notes of a piano flow through the air, delicate and melancholic, as if each key tells a story of love never forgotten, while a sweet voice joins in, vibrant and intimate, like a secret shared with the heart. The rain becomes a steady rhythm, the sea an infinite echo, and the melody a promise of sweetness that lingers even after the final note fades, an immortal and fragile memory like a tear in the rain.

My take on this masterpiece, based strongly on a cover by Patrick Pietschman as I overheard it from Youtube, but at the last section I went into impro to spice it a little bit. One day I might conjure a better incarnation, but for now, I'm getting slightly tired by it (it is a busy piece...).
