I did this mashup from an RT news audio file available at https://soundcloud.com/rttv/info-lionel to show the angst in information overload and the constant barrage of media psychobabble, brand and loyalty... who to believe?what is quality of source? et al... 

I think this little mashup fits nicely with similar themes i have done about militant cultures breeding an increasingly paranoid and suspicious psychological type where intell goes all to hell!

Experimental Radio is an effort at using the amazing, yet still limited, caustic music app to create a primitive "q-sound" affect. The easiest way to explain is, in a mixer or app that allows you to bounce one track, with preferably one voice, say a single tom hit, onto 5 tracks. One track is panned hard left, the next quarter, a mid pan, then quarter right and hard right. You put a delay of say between 125 ms on one, then 250 on the other, etc... or at least I've done similar, though the exact numbers and positions I settled on I of course don't remember, and the caustic is something were I was not able to do this exact type of setup, which made the challenge more enticing. I had to use only my ears given the caustic weakness in multi-tracking in the way I mentioned. I hope this gives a good idea of how I am trying to create a 4 dimensional space and also the illusion that one of the voices on "experimental radio" sounds like it is coming from a place other than your speakers? Or at least I hope so? That is what my aim was, as well as to create a pleasant and chill piece of ambience :). Please do let me know if you hear the "illusion?"

This TonePoem called Old Words is based on the Planet of the Apes 1977 tv series and deals with the words: Massa, Responsibility, I have no Say!, The youngest son, Corn, sacrifice and, memory. I will rewrte this little note later and include the actual episode number. It is an excellent story and I hope my use in this particular piece emphasises the idea of not eating the Golden child in our own tribe but instead to prop up the purple faced bright eyed little victim. Might be better for the memory and conscience of the tribe and ether in toto. Thus is the reference to enzymes and engrams. To throw in large like a small poet for an In Sentia of the old old school of eulysus, or the simple profane history of humanitarian principles, I spose it would all be held 2gether by the idea In cogitos. In other words Memory is Engrams with dice, computers, tables etc... enzymes are Memory for organism like us and mice and lions, etc... In Cogitos is words that hold large memory fields that would also be capable of connecting to what Cayce would call the Akashic, a world memory, or Intelligences as Plotinus puts it. Word triggers memory field by affect on Engrams and Enzymes whether through tv, computers, books, or the story of a god that whispered in Marys ear. Words are Trump. Engrams and Enzymes a by product of universal language. Most of spoken and written language is also a by product of music and poetry, to be fair.

Old Words - enzymes to engrams - memory and family

This is the second tonepoem I`ve done using the 1977 Planet of the apes tv series. The episode deals with the ritual of word and the renewal of the field; as well as other corn god rituals such as saving the best seed, responsibility to the eldest, old words, and propping up memory and self awareness. Seems to me this is a riff that was done in the spirit of Demeters`best :).
