Sean Spindrift – Biography

Sean, who is a former label DJ for Furthur Progression Records, London, specializes in Progressive Trance, Psy Trance and Techno is now a permanent resident of Colorado, USA.  Prior to this, he had been in and around the London party scene from 1995 until 2018, firstly, as a party-goer before getting involved with promoting Astral Phoenix at Tyssen Street in East London, becoming a familiar face handing out flyers every weekend. 

He began DJing Chill-out music in 2004 for Eartheart Cafe and Planet Bob's Chai Emporium, playing at events and festivals including Glade and in the green fields at Glastonbury. 

By 2008 he was a regular at The Synergy Project @ SE 1, DJing and playing percussion. He joined the band Orchid Star as percussionist after a stint with Native Horizon, touring with the band over the next few years, playing again at Glade and Glastonbury, Boom Festival, in Portugal and as far away as Vladivostok, Russia. He also stage managed at events such as Offworld & Cosmo Festival in the UK and at Vibe Festival, Czech Republic, and has been a supportive member of Planet Bob's Chai Emporium ever since, now being percussionist of the band Lemon Tree headed by Planet Bob's founder Paul Bacon.  

With the smoking ban came change for many of us and had a massive impact on the London scene so by 2009 Sean began playing Progressive Trance, working his way to becoming a prominent force on the dance floor. He has in the past played at many events in and around London, with regular slots Tribal Village and Cohesion, also has been playing regularly for Freak Bazaar in Brighton and Tribe of Frog in Bristol plus a familiar name in the festival circuit playing at Boomtown, Equinox, Summer Gathering. Triplicity and Beatherder.

During Covid, Sean played chilled sets on Widgeon Radio, a UK based outfit but has since taken a break from events while focusing on beginning a new life in the US and honing his skills writing music. An EP will be forthcoming in the New Year.
His musical roots hark back to halcyon days of Northern Soul in the Mod and scooter scene of the 80's in England, the Ska and Goth scene of Canada and the US in the early 90's while he was overseas with a sailing career.  He has also been heavily influenced by classical, jazz, funk and blue beat.

Ben, aka DJ Beholder, has been igniting trancefloors with energy, smiles, and dance for almost two decades. A beloved figure in the psychedelic community, he's known for bringing people together through the power of music.

DJ Beholder has graced the decks at some of London’s most iconic and underground Psy events, including Astral Circus, Psymera, Secretsoma, Carry on Regardless, and Butterfly Effect, sharing the stage with renowned artists like Avalon, Sonic Species, Outsiders, Volcano on Mars, Faders, Egorythmia, and Laughing Buddha.

DJ Beholder also holds a residency for the yearly Psybercell stage at Maui Waui Festival in Norfolk.

Beyond the decks, Ben has been an event organizer for years, recently co-founding an intimate, family-friendly PSY gathering in Kent that brings together the best of the scene.

Known for his high-energy, uplifting DJ sets, Ben has a rare gift for weaving connection and magic on the dancefloor. His dynamic presence behind the decks keeps the crowd engaged and moving, delivering a true sonic experience.
