While on holiday in Italy, Umbria I visited a city on a rocky mountain, filled with basements and tunnels from Ertrusian times, like a subway in a big city. One of the most famous tourist attractions in Orvieto is certainly the San Patricio well, built in 1527 by Klemens VII, 53 m deep, 13 m in diameter, 72 windows, 2 x 224 stair steps -
I wondered how hard people had to work to carve such a well out of the rock, and what it looked like when Klemens got to work.
To this day, many people have to travel many kilometers to get water for drinking and cooking. Others are fed up with it and pollute with garbage and even radioactive waste and pollutants. I Ama visual artist, not a musician - my love of electronic music goes back to the 1950s where it appeared in certain fi movie soundtracks like Forbidden Planet, then in the sixties there was Carlos' Switched On Bach and Subotnik's Silver Apples of The Moon - by the time I heard Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze and Jarre and others in the 1970s I decided to try my hand at doing electronic soundscapes.
