PURPOSE

After the climate and political catastrophe that Valencia has endured, with a severe storm affecting over 800,000 people, the community has come together to lift the future of Valencia out of the mud. From day one, Gordo Trax has sought to help by bringing together producers of all kinds in a series of charity V.A. releases aimed at supporting local neighbourhood associations, animal welfare organisations, associations for people with special needs, and providing essential goods. "Germanor" is the Valencian word for "brotherhood," and in this second release, we unite international artists like Blawan & Wallis, Oscar Mulero, Lewis Fautzi, Nørbak, Peder Mannerfelt, Cora Novoa, and many others who have selflessly pitched in during such a difficult time for the city.

Irish Techno DJ/Producer/Classical musician based in London.

Paul Fitzgibbon, a musician from Co. Kerry, Ireland, earned his Bachelor of Music under the tutelage of Yuri Zhislin and went on to do his Master of Music at the Royal College of Music in London, where he was a Leopold de Rothschild scholar. During his undergraduate studies, he was honoured with The Kathleen Trust bursary and the Henry Wood Scholarship.

Paul's musical journey began with his father at the piano at age two, before he took up the violin at six and eventually discovered his true passion for the viola. His early accomplishments include achieving a Grade 8 Distinction in violin by age thirteen and earning a Distinction in his viola performance diploma at sixteen. He has performed extensively across Europe and the USA, including a concert tour as a soloist with the New York Concerti Sinfonietta, with one of the performances taking place at Carnegie Hall. He has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra and has had the honour of working alongside world-renowned conductors such as Vasily Petrenko and Antonio Pappano.

In 2023, Paul was a finalist in the Irish Heritage Bursary and performed at the prestigious final held at Wigmore Hall. That same year, he began serving as a committee member of Irish Heritage, a UK-based charity supporting emerging Irish musicians, a role he held through 2025.

Alongside his classical career, Paul is an active electronic music producer and DJ. His work has been released on several respected techno labels including RI7MO, Duplicity, Prtl Wrx, and Beluga Tracks, with many more releases forthcoming. In 2024, he founded the label Scordisci, where he remains a key member. The label’s releases have received support from top electronic artists across the globe. His own productions have been supported by names such as DVS1, Richie Hawtin, Mathys Lenne, Slam, Phil Berg, and Lobster, and have been played in iconic venues including Berghain in Berlin and Bassiani in Tbilisi. He has hosted radio shows for platforms such as Rinse FM, and his DJ career has taken him to renowned clubs including Corsica Studios in London and international events such as the Tohhnzimmer x Pan Hannover collaboration party in Hamburg, Germany.

In 2020, Paul founded the Young Musicians Guild, a non-profit organisation with the primary goal of supporting young musicians in their transition to becoming fully self-sufficient professional artists. YMG operates as a free membership-based platform, providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help musicians develop their musical, performance, and professional skills. It is both a community and a collaborative space that fosters artistic growth and lasting connections.
