Next up on our techno podcast we are proud to introduce to you our first live techno mix created by Soul Doubt!

 

Paddy Hamill aka Soul Doubt is a DJ/Producer from Louth who is making his way into live performances.

 

In the past 2 years he has gotten serious about producing music and really put his mind to it, releasing his "Consciousness" EP on 'Industrial Techno United' last year then following up with his single called "Recollection" which is signed to Manifest Records and featured on Youtube channels such as 'Moskalus' & 'Handpicked'.

 

Artists such as Fjaak, Kink & Bicep inspired him to go down the route of playing live. The whole concept of playing there and then in the moment is very exciting. Souldoubt has been using lockdown to his advantage to learn new techniques and improve his skills when making music. 

 

In this set you will hear mainly unreleased tracks from myself and one from his "Consciousness" EP called "Pandemic". The set consists of rave synths, trance leads and thumping kicks with crisp percussions throughout. 

 

His plan for this year is to expand his studio setup, produce and release loads of new music, so keep an eye out!

 

The live mix he provided us showcases his skills using drum machines and synths to create a banging techno sound that progressively changes over the course of the mix creating a unique live experience for you to enjoy.

This weeks guest is a new DJ & Producer from Kilkenny who is just emerging onto the scene this year. This 24 year old has been grinding on his craft for the last seven years, focusing his energy into the faster end of the Techno spectrum.

With releases on the very recognisable Subwoofer Records, Industrial Techno United & Coup to name a few, along with many more in the works to be released this year, he has no plans of slowing down his drive to release 140+ BPM bangers. Also gaining support from internationally renowned DJ Cera Khin & some of Ireland’s biggest DJ’s including Sarah Mooney & Yasmin Gardezi, he is already developing a name for himself.

Along with his heavy hitting productions, you can expect to hear trance & techno all the way up to Gabber in his sets. As he grew up listening to Hardstyle and Hardhouse in his early years, you are sure to hear those roots in his productions & sets.

Next up on the MTRPLS mix series is Galway native Niall Kelly. The 18 year old DJ was introduced to the scene almost 2 years ago attending BD: Day of the Dead festival, and has fallen in love with it ever since. After picking up his first controller in late 2019, Niall's distinctive skills can be clearly heard in his sets consisting of hardgroove and oldschool techno, featuring artists such as Ben Sims, Chris McCormack and Dave Clarke. In this hour long hardgroove mix, Niall shows some series mixing skills from the get go.

This weekend we present Tish aka Jake Scanlon; having started his dj’ing career from humble beginnings at college court gaffers in Limerick, Tish has gone from strength to strength, playing for a packed techno Tuesday crowd in the stables on his debut before going onto play in the Factory in his native Waterford. He’s also gone on to do live streams and guest mixes for the RoomTwo collective in Limerick. Tish’s style of Dj’ing is a blend of fast paced techno with electro and ghetto techno and in this mix that’s exactly what you can expect.

ENIGMA 029 - TISH

Repping Belfast BT36 Flanzö has been influenced by artists across Europe but also those from the very talented local scene which has took off in Ireland. 
He started releasing mixes at the beginning of ‘Lockdown 1.0’ in March and here we are, nearly a year later with a much clearer idea as to what he wants to play to represent himself. 

This mix is an auditory representation of the fast paced techno that Flanzö has been enjoying over the last while and hopes to give those listening a feeling similar to that of a rave, until we meet on the dance-floor, once again.
