After its outstanding reception following its initial release back in January, Wankelmut & Emma Louise's infectious single - 'My Head Is A Jungle' returns with a souped up package and is set to be released worldwide on 15TH September via Positiva. Heavily supported by BBC R1's Pete Tong, 'My Head Is A Jungle' was dubbed his 'Essential New Tune' back in February as well as receiving championing support from BBC R1's tastemaker Annie Mac. It comes as no surprise that the single is already platinum in Italy, top 30 in Germany (and rising) and top 5 airplay in South Africa!

Wankelmut who has mainly been deejaying in underground clubs in Berlin such as Sisyphos and MIKZ, became 'Newcomer of the Year' last year (GROOVE Magazine) and has been in high demand as both DJ and Remixer ever since. Wankelmut has a very entertaining and well crafted way of deejaying with a huge variety of styles from Deep House to Techno. Beside playing all over Europe he remixed Gossip, Jay Haze, Lukas Graham and various other underground records which established his status within the Techno House Scene. On his 24th birthday in December 2011 Wankelmut aka Jacob Dilßner uploaded his unofficial remix for Asaf Avidan's "Reckoning Song' to Soundcloud. More than one year later the now official remix has sold 1.3 Million copies on Sony/Columbia, scored over 100 Million Youtube Plays and entered the #1 spot in 8 european countries, as well as being the best-selling track on Beatport last year.

In cooperation with the talented Australian singer Emma-Louise, the duo deliver a finely tuned piece of melodic brilliance. Wankemut's faultless Tech-house production, and Emma-Louise's blissful vocals will have you instantly hooked and will be circling around your head for days to come. In addition to the supreme remix package from Gui Boratto, Kasper Bjorke and Solee, new remixes come from Friend Within, and Marc 'MK' Kinchen, who steps up to deliver one of his much loved MK edits which premiered last Friday on Pete Tong. 

Over the summer months you can catch Wankelmut playing at Urban Art Forms, Big Festival, Melt!, plus back to back gigs across Europe.

A career spent DJing across the globe was the catalyst for Damian Lazarus’s latest project – Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons. Masterminded by Lazarus the album brings together a wide assortment of vocalists, collaborators and players from around the world. Taking inspiration from Lazarus's Lazpod series, Get Lost events and Day Zero festival in Mexico, this is music for deserts, jungles and sunrises.

Kicking off in LA, Lazarus was joined at the production controls by James Ford (Simian Mobile Disco, Arctic Monkeys, Florence) as the album moved to London, and then final recording sessions completed in Mexico.

The resulting album, ‘Message From the Other Side’, is a revelation. It runs the gamut from the wonderful Qawwali-flavoured techno of the single ‘Lovers Eyes (Mohe Pi Ki Najariya)’ to the African-tinged house of ‘Sacred Dance of the Demon’ to the dense dark ambient of ‘Inner Core’, and a whole lot else. It’s a truly original piece of music from a DJ-producer always driven by a desire to break new ground and, as importantly, have fun with such adventures

This is finally going to be out we are extremely excited for this release it means a lot for our carrer.

Stranjjur is about to come full-circle this summer, and to kick off our parade of big releases which we've been patiently waiting for the right moment to unload on the world; we return to where it all began, with Lula Circus furnishing their 2nd EP for Stranjjur, nearly 2 years after their debut EP helped launch them to the globe trotting rising stars they are today; and helped Stranjjur launch in proper fashion to get us where we've arrived in our first 2 years as a label. 

The So Cold 2U EP features 2 stellar originals from Lula Circus, both heart-tugging and spewing with emotional grooves and Lula's signature melodic undertones which give both cuts an appeal that's impossible to ignore. 

On remix duties,  the red-hot Kolombo supplied us with a floor filler, while our new friend Beckwith (Ajunadeep) comes through with a super-groovy peak time remix which nods toward Bristol with it's garage-inspired bass and vocal cuts. The power punch, however, comes from two guys which any Stranjjur fan know just as well as Lula Circus themselves; Havens+Hart.  They completely flip 'So Cold' on it's head, filling every spectrum layer imaginable with non-stop funk  and bass which is a guaranteed knockout punch on any dancefloor.
