I found a field recording of someone trudging down a gravel path a few days ago, and thought it would be a good foundation to try to do something inspired by Droid’s work. Then damn if he don’t go and release a jam with a similar field recording on the same day! I decided to give it a shot anyway, doing my best to maintain a delicate touch and a Phrygian scale.

Dusted off the ol’ Volca FM for this one. I got a nice sound from running it through the deluge with a couple of effects and just decided to improvise with that and a little bit of a beat.

Experimenting with the hirajoshi scale a bit. I kind of inadvertently ended up using the 4th mode of the scale, which gives it an even stranger vibe. I'll almost certainly be coming back to this one.
