Eighth in a series of mixes that charts the evolution of trance, from it's roots in the early 90s to the world domination of the turn of the century. This one takes in the sound of 1997 as the sound of progressive trance dominates the dancefloors.  Artists such as Paul Van Dyk, BT and Tilt and labels such as Hook and Hooj Choons champion a more complex, epic and hypnotic sound that drives the trance sound forward.  Gatecrasher and Cream in the UK become meccas for trance fans as trance  becomes the dominant sound of the dancefloor.
