That room was alive from start to finish - deep cuts, warm smiles, and that unmistakable energy you only get when heads truly feel it.  Biggest love and deepest gratitude to the legend himself - RICK WADE. You blessed us with a timeless set that moved bodies and hit right where it was needed.

Had a good dig through the ol' record collection for this mix. Going back to the beginning of my residency at the Tube, playing in the upstairs bar before the Retro events, then doing the open and closing sets downstairs in the club. 
The first half is pure bar vibes. Full of deep, soulful house . Then about an hour and a half in the tempo gets cranked up a notch for the club half.
Mixed live in one take, on 2x Turntables & 2x CDJs. Full of records from lables such as Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, Hard Times, Soulfuric, Henry St., Narcotic, Tribal, King St. AM:PM etc etc.

Bio

Paul started listening to mix tapes passed on to him from older friends on his street in the early 90's and caught the bug. Around 1993 he started going out to places like Universe, Ark, Life at Bowlers and Maximes, but it wasn't until he went to Hard Times that he heard the music that he would continue to play to this day. The US Soulful House sound played by DJs such as MAW, Roger Sanchez, Frankie Knuckles was the music of choice.

Paul has DJ'd as a hobby for over 25 years now, playing at various bars and clubs around West Yorkshire. He currently DJs at Velvet Bar and Now Serving in Wakefield. He has his own Mixcloud and SoundCloud site with all his mixes on.

With a keen interest in the stories of the scene, how it developed, how DJs careers have happened and after reading Marshall Jefferson's book he decided to start a blog site called In The Beginning. So far he has interviewed Terry Farley, Yogi Haughton, Scott Diaz, Mark Archer and Paul Stuart plus many more in the pipeline.

Paul has put together a quality mix, I am sure you will love it as much I do.
