Herhjemme er han dog lidt mere i defensiven efter et andet besøg – ved udrejsecenter Kærshovedgaard. Udlændingedebatten sitrer igen. Dog uden Dansk Folkeparti i hovedrollen: Pia Kjærsgaard siger nu, at hun ikke vil stille op imod Kristian Thulesen Dahl i et kampvalg om formandsposten i Dansk Folkeparti. Betyder det, at der nu er ro i partiet? Og hvad med Enhedslisten, der har problemer med krænkelser, mobning og stress? Risikerer den sag at blæse op i hovedet på Mai Villadsen, som metoo-sagerne gjorde det med de Radikale og Sofie Carsten Nielsen? thanks for the profound task! In my opinion, the family is the place where talking to each other is so important, but also the place where talking to each other fails and maybe the big silence occurs and therefore many secrets are not told.
I'm on the road right now, composing theater music, "only" have my beloved Lyra 8 with me.
Anyway, I loved recording for this assignment!

I love the smell of the ground after rain (petrichor), which this week's haiku, by Richard Barnes, evokes. It inspired my improvisation (in A Aeolian) played on a VST piano with effects from Guitar Rig 6. Recorded and mixed in Reaper. Mastered with CloudBounce.

Transparent Forms - Nick Ashwood - Cat 010 

Composed in 2022 for Microfest, an annual microtonal festival hosted by Kraig Grady and Michael H Dixon. 

Transparent Forms is Nick’s first group composition following on from his 2020 solo piece Unfolding/Overlay, (Inexhaustible Editions 027). Amanda Stewart wrote in the liner notes to that: “Enfolded in the shifting tones, our ears are at the edge of themselves.” With this new work, he continues this interrogation into the edges of harmonicity and perception. Frequencies from bowed guitar, flute and clarinet burst away from any notion of a stable lattice to reshape our understandings of intervals and chords, and our listening is continually surprised and delighted by the 'tastes' and 'colours' that are revealed. 

The instruments dissolve into each other to create an unrecognisable timbral unity where melody emerges from harmonic clouds.
