A Dj and producer from London 🕰️🍵 –  Khayal aka @k2w0music !
He has already released on renowned labels like @lokdbasel, @monada-project, and @trndmusik. and is known for his love of groovy 🕺, steady tunes 🌌in the 100–118 BPM range – always depending on the vibe he’s aiming for.
Khayal sent us an exclusive podcast recorded during sunset 🌅 at @sunfishcollective at the beautiful Lake Maggiore 🏞️ in Italy on May 23rd, 2025. A fun set with retro vibes 🪩. Cheerful and uplifting with some yet unreleased tracks 🤍🫶.

The name K2W0 (pronounced K-Two) is inspired by K2, the mountain in Pakistan. It’s the second highest peak in the world and a little homage to where I come from. The “W0” twist gives it a slightly cryptic edge, while still reading as “two.”

Every track I make is like a diary entry. It reflects the people I meet, places I’ve been, and how I’m feeling in that moment. I want listeners to connect to something real through the music – whether it’s joy, melancholy, or just getting lost in the groove.

🏔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰?
It’s a bit of a melting pot. Blues and rock legends like BB King and Jimi Hendrix definitely influenced my emotional range early on. On the electronic side, artists like Persian Empire and Stavroz have helped shape how I build atmosphere and groove.

🏔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲? 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀?
The crowd, 100%. Everyone was tuned in and had such a good energy. But the real standout moment was playing as the sun dipped behind Lago Maggiore. That sunset, the lake, the music — it all just clicked. Felt like a dream.

🏔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰?
Honestly, collaborating with artists I admire and eventually launching my own label nights. I want to create a space that’s not just about the music, but about community and shared experiences.

Wieder einmal gehen wir uns auf eine abenteuerliche Reise.
Diesmal führt sie uns zu einer geheimnisvollen Festung, durch Nieselnebel, Brombeersträucher und Geschichten voller Wind, Brot und seltsamer Kreaturen. Und wie schon bei der ersten Compilation, bei der wir eine Luke unter einem Sofa fanden, war auch dieses Mal die Musik unser Kompass.

Wir hatten wieder große Lust, unsere liebsten Künstler*innen aus unserer Bubble zusammen auf eine Platte zu bringen und freuen uns sehr, dass es erneut geklappt hat. 27 Songs, 27 Türen, durch die man hören kann. Mal laut, mal leise, mal schnell, mal langsam, mal verträumt, mal pulsierend. Die Genres springen, die Stimmungen wandern, aber irgendetwas hält alles zusammen. With Kommen, E-Gerät & Dan Celot debut on Heimlich Musik, delivering a hypnotic original on the 36th EP on the label. The title track unfolds with moody pads, rubbery synth modulations, and a deep yet playful groove—a special blend of cosmic disco aesthetics and electronic nostalgia. Filtered percussion, echo-laced vocals, and an analog vibe make Kommen both introspective and dance floor–ready.

Adding further dimensions to the release are two distinctly compelling remixes: Norwegian disco connoisseur Prins Thomas injects his signature psychedelic flow, extending the track into a sprawling odyssey of arpeggiated warmth and cinematic tension. Tony is a musical storyteller shaped by depth, not algorithms. Raised in Zurich and mentored early by his handicapped uncle - a passionate audiophile who taught him to listen long before he learned to play - Tony discovered the emotional architecture behind sound while other kids chased melodies.

What began as a quiet obsession turned into a lifelong pursuit of tension, release, and the frequencies between. As an aficionado of underground culture, aka-Tony avoids the obvious. His sets are sculpted narratives—textural, cerebral, raw—spanning dubby margins, broken rhythms, and hypnotic progressions that reward the deep listener and the relentless dancer alike.

What a privilege to play the good morning set for an important day on which two amazing people celebrating their love and the love for their friends on this beautiful weekend.

My goal was to ease everyone gently into what would become an incredible day. Started with those soft, mellow tracks to let people wake up naturally, then gradually built the energy to properly get those sleepy spirits moving.
The setting was super cute - right there poolside, watching people literally jump in the water to wake up and find their groove. There’s something special about being part of that transition from peaceful morning vibes to full celebration mode.

This set captures that whole journey - from those gentle wake-up moments to everyone coming alive and ready to celebrate.

Maybe this helps you as well to start your day ;)
