Proto Man Theme (AuralBot Mix)

Well, here's a fun one. :U I love doing these occasionally, when I'm not thinking of tune mashups; taking a track and trying to get it working under different conditions and restrictions. This one was actually fun to do, and done over about a week's time in total. This was also one of my favourite tracks and levels from Sonic Colours, so that helped motivate to make, ha ha.

As always, this is actually playing through Mega Drive hardware, *not* just through VOPM and soundfonts. I do WIPs in that, sure, but not the final upload.

And, as always, enjoy. :D

Because of course Rooftop Run Classic has to be on this.  It's like a law of Sonic remixes, or something.  Credit to Tomoya Ohtani for writing the original, and TNRea, Hinz and Heroboy1092 for making the MIDIs that I worked from to make this version.

And since one Rooftop Run was never going to be enough, here's a VRC6 "demake" of the original Rooftop Run Day, too.  I think I prefer the original's music to the music for Modern Rooftop Run in Generations (which is still good, I just prefer the original and RR Classic) - I like the way the guitars complement the strings.  And it certainly adds some of the proverbial buttrockiness :p.

Credit to Tomoya Ohtani for writing the original, and Shadrow for making the MIDI I got the notes from.

anyway, here's protoman's theme, from mega man 3.  the song that plays right before the credits.  i've always really loved this track, ever since i heard it as a child, and i've been meaning to remix it for ages but never got around to it.  really glad i finally did.

This was by the far the most difficult song in the Mega Man 3 soundtrack to arrange. I was forced to do some really, really dodgy things with the score to get it to sound right, but I managed to pull it off. This is also the longest song in the soundtrack by far, but one of the best.
