Sintetizzatrice is the first recorded document of the collaboration between veteran DJ and producer Donato Dozzy and female vocalist Anna Caragnano. Through his solo work, and in his collaboration with Giuseppe Tilleci (Neel) as Voices from the Lake, Dozzy has achieved some of the most remarkable vistas contemporary electronic music has seen since the turn of this century. By removing himself from his areas of mastery to shift his focus on the voice, he has achieved a new peak with Sintetizzatrice. Over nine tracks, Dozzy works exclusively with the voice of Rome-based vocalist Anna Caragnano, with no other instruments. Heavy layering and effects processes are used to display an astoundingly versatile voice-centric vocabulary. Rarely can a record morph from R&B to kosmische, through traditional Italian folk music, to Fluxus styles and traditional chamber choir with no additional instrumentation. Just a singular, beautiful voice. The results are simply phenomenal. With the opening, "Introduzione," an immeasurable cosmic weight arrives and remains through the duration of the album. "Star Cloud" ascends with melancholy extended drones that evaporate concepts like time and being, rendering basic human perceptions void all the way through "Parallelo." "Parola" dances around the stereo field with dazing rhythms and melodies, while "Festa (A Mottola)" is an homage to the traditional music found in the rural region where, coincidentally, both Dozzy's mother and Caragnano were born and raised. The album's closing pieces "Love Without Sound" and "Conclusione" hit hard in a way to which no words can do justice. By fearlessly entering uncharted territories, Dozzy and Caragnano have made a collaboration which is truly experimental. Sintetizzatrice is a grand debut for Anna Caragnano and a fantastic twist for Donato Dozzy. Produced and mixed by Dozzy at Alaska Studio, Rome, in 2014. Mastered by Giuseppe Tilleci at EnissLab Studio, Rome. Transferred to tape by Pietro Micioni, Angelo Compagnoni, and Massimo Zuccaroli at Village Studio, Rome. Nicolas Jaar - What My Last Girl Put Me Through Bluewave EDIT

The first drop from the highly anticipated debut album by veteran DJ/Producer Francis Harris (pka Adultnapper). The album, entitled "Leland" is a requiem to the artist's father and is due for release on Scissor and Thread in February. Here we get a glimpse into the poignant and heartfelt character of the LP on "lostfound" The single features a vocal by Gry and Trumpet work by No Regular Play's Greg Paulus. Matthew Herbert delivers a phenomenal remix, one of his first House tunes in ages!

Last year I met Sissi Rada. She was singing in Greek and playing the harp when I first listened to her. 
I asked her to record something with me as I wanted to use her voice for my music. We sat down, I played the harmonies on my Prophet 5 and she would jam over it. Her first take is the take you're listening to. Back then I was in my bedroom studio. We had noises from the street, roommates the next door, but the take captured the magic and the spontaneous moment of just doing music. I didn't want to record it again. 

Her lyrics are about the devastating political and financial situation in Greece and I tried - as much as I could do - to reflect that with my music.

Hot on the heels of 'Inre Rydmen', the EP Swedish pair @tommy-awards released via @origin-peoples last month, come the remixes. Drafting in a cohort of the very best, this impending release will see the likes of Jonny Nash, Coyote and Mystic Jungle Tribe jump on the remix duties, touching original productions with their unmistakable idiosyncrasies. @bartoszkruczynski, the Polish producer better known under his Earth Trax guise, is another name credited on the release, offering up a 15-minute epic as he reinterprets penultimate track, 'Hans Logan'. 

Oscillating electronics mesmerise and an arpeggiating synth melody gradually makes way for the marimba. Sweeping, elongated strums of guitar stretch out like the horizon and the dialogue between various melodic elements continues throughout as we bear witness to various transformations, but the meditative quality is consistent throughout.

The 'Inre Rymden Remixes' are out soon on Origin Peoples.

Most likely you all know who John Grant is, right? If not, I can tell you he's an american singer-songwriter that just released his second solo album called "Pale Green Ghosts", which is the follow up to "Queen of Denmark", from 2010, that took him to world praise, and a spot as #1 album of the year for Mojo magazine. 
The new album was produced by Biggi Veir of Iceland's electronic pioneers Gus Gus, and shows a new side of John Grant's music. 
I was brought on board to remix the title track "Pale Green Ghosts" and here's the result. For me this is undoubtedly one of the best things I made. Because John Grant and his label Bella Union loved the remix as much as I did we're are giving it away as free download to support the beginning of John Grant's world tour.
