this album was created in only a few weeks, with each song being made in one day. I set out to record, produce and master each song in less than 24 hours, some only being a 2-3 hour long session. I wanted to make a project that was more creatively fulfilling for me and this definitely did that and helped me to not be as much of a perfectionist and to just have fun.

All tracks were written, recorded, produced, and mixed by Elijah Kealy.

There’s a man on the corner with a jacket too big,
Counting the cracks like they’re notes on a grid.
He talks to the air like it’s something he trusts,
And the silence replies with a layer of dust.
“I’m not crazy, I’d rather be dead,”
The man said sternly to the voice in his head.
But the words fall flat, like a song out of tune,
While the sky hums softly with a paper-thin moon.

And I just watch him fade into the streetlight glow,
Carrying a secret only he could know.
If he’s lost, then he hides it in the fold of his smile,
Walking with the madness like a friend for a while.

He folds paper birds out of receipts in his hands,
Lets them all fly where the lamppost stands.

But he catches himself with a shake of his head,
Repeats that same phrase he already said.
