Masses over masses try themselves at being a DJ and in the production of techno. Being a newcomer in this overcrowded market does not seem appealing at first sight. Putting in a lot of effort to establish one's reputation is not everyone's cup of tea. To stand out of the masses one must buckle down or have the proper Vitamin B. When Vitamins are lacking, what especially counts are a strong will and persistence. Those are guarantors for the opportunity to exhibit one's talent eventually. The rise of Krenzlin followed this principle on one of the surest Newcomer-Floors in the world. After Sebastian Krenzlin started DJing in 2003, it took several years for him to eventually be discovered as a newcomer after his participation at the Tresor Award of Pacou in 2009. Since he played in the Tresor for the first time in September 2010, he is among the steady Ensemble of Berlin's legendary club.

With the series of events “New Faces“ and three allies he formed a platform for the performance of new faces. Every first Wednesday in the month, he starts his own special event under this flag seeking for new talents who impersonate this spirit.

Even as a producer Krenzlin build up a reputation since 2011. If one reads the list of labels under which he has released since, it is hard to believe that such a fantastic discography can be formed in this short amount of time. With Synewave, BCR, Mastertraxx Records, Slap Jaxx or IF?Records the best pools for exceptional, underground profiles of techno-acts of the last years string together. In the spring of 2012 a co-production with 88uw and Synewave followed and came like a bombshell exactly like the one countless times before in the Tresor...

The Brazilian DJ Anderson Noise's career coincides with the beginnings of the Brazilian Electronic music scene. The super creative, pioneer DJ has played in over 32 different countries, released 83 singles and EP's, 2 DVD's, 9 CD compilations and 75 releases by his Label"Noise Music".Noise has a weekly radio program called Radio Noise that to date has transmitted 693 programs, broadcasted in 25 radio stations in 14 different countries.

Noise also produced an event "Joao Carlos Martins & Anderson Noise in concert where the Brazilian maestro pianist and most popular conductor of classical music in the country accompany the DJ. Martins manages and conducts the Bachiana Philharmonic Orchestra, which is composed of 68 musicians. The first concert of Martins & Noise took place in May of 2009 in the "Sala Sao Paulo" in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Anderson has received various awards. He was voted Top DJ 2 years in a row by DJ MAG Brazil and voted in the world's "Top 100 DJ's" 3 years running by DJ MAG UK, arriving in 26th place in the world in 2008.

In 2001, Anderson took over the resident DJ position for Headstart night at the Tummills Club in London, played in all the different yearly festivals of SKOL BEATS the biggest Electronic music festival in South America. He was the festival's closing artist at SKOL BEATS in 2003 and 2006.In his 25 year career he produced 11 video clips. His track "Homem Cachorro" was used in the soundtrack for the acclaimed film "O Passado", directed by the talented Hector Babenco. In the beginning of his career, Noise was known for producing great parties and events in abandoned parts of the city of Belo Horizonte. He ended up having parties in abandoned factories, insane asylums and train stations etc. etc.It was just like him to produce the most unconventional party!!

John Warwick has been an integral part of the international dance scene for the best part of 25 years, not only as a DJ/producer, but also as a promoter, distributor, artist management and probably best known as the musical & creative force behind the legendary Primate Recordings, Primevil Recordings and the now defunct ‘Prime Distribution’.

As well as promoting various events in London over the years, John was promoter and resident of the monthly Manchester based electronic night, ‘Intergalactic Funk (I-Funk) for 2 years, and has regularly played at venues around the globe, mostly promoting his legendary ‘Primate Recordings’, thru exclusive promotional events, showcasing both his own DJ’ing talents and those of the world renowned artists featured on the label. As well as entertaining clubs throughout the UK, John has also thrilled clubbers in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, USA, Brazil, Israel, Canada & Hong Kong.John has recorded and remixed for various labels over the last 20 years (including having released two DJ mixed CD’s as Traxster, profiling Primate Recordings).

As well as recording with long-time friend Richard Jones as Traxster, and Matthew (Mel) Merritt as Melrob, as well as many solo productions as Vadok, 2007 saw John release tracks under his own name for the first time, with ‘AFTER DARK E.P’ (PRIMATE099), a track on the PRIMATE100 compilation, plus tracks on both PRIMATE ENDANGERED SPECIES (APE020, VARIOUS ARTISTS - FUNKY MONKEYS VOL 5), plus OMEGA AUDIO013 (VARIOUS ARTISTS).

Turbo Recordings is proud to present the kind of remix pack we’ve heard you talk about in your sleep, featuring a banging techno remix from masked man/presumed German Redshape, a 10-minute minimal epic from "techno gastronomist" Dubfire, an electro-funk jam from veteran Clone machinist Dexter, and two mixes (one vinyl, one digital) from rising Turbo star ANNA that will enrich the lives of completists everywhere.

Biography:   DAX J 

Dax J is a London born, Berlin based artist and the quintessential DJ in every sense of the word. He has carved out and established his own unique sound, firmly placing him at the forefront of a global DJ scene with his own individual style of raw and uncompromising Techno. He continues to be consistently nominated and voted into DJ polls and Awards from around the world, all whilst remaining purposefully rooted in the underground. Also known as a prolific producer and successful record label boss, his trademark sound remains in constant rotation from the most respected DJ's in electronic music today.

In recent years Dax has received countless accolades for his devotion to the craft. Being placed into Resident Advisor, DJ Mag, and Groove Magazine’s top 100 DJ’s of the year, as well as receiving nominations from Mixmag, DJ Mag and the DJ Awards for Best Techno DJ, Best Breakthrough DJ, and Best British DJ. He's known for playing notable closing sets at monumental parties including Awakenings for ADE in the infamous Gashoulder, and a 10-hour marathon set in the worlds most notorious techno club, Berghain.

2018 saw Dax release his 2nd solo album “Offending Public Morality” on his own label Monnom Black, which was picked by BBC Radio 1 as their “Biggest Record of the Week,” as well as entering the “Top 50 Albums of the Year” from Apocalypse Mag, Tsugi and DJ Mag who also featured Dax on their front cover. Furthermore he was enrolled into the BBC hall of fame that year by releasing his debut Radio 1 Essential Mix, whilst having his 4-hour closing set at NeoPop Festival picked as “Best DJ set of the year” by Be.At.TV.

Preceding this, Dax released his highly acclaimed debut album "Shades of Black" in 2015 once again on Monnom Black. Mixmag awarded it "Album of the Month" and it reached the No.1 spot on Juno Records with Hardwax describing it as "Brilliantly Banging".

Dax grew up listening to the UK sounds of Jungle, Drum n Bass and Garage. Being heavily influenced by heroes like Goldie, Andy C and Bad Company, his love for the underground meant he soon started to DJ on pirate radios at an early age of 15 whilst he was still at school. He became an avid vinyl collector buying from London’s infamous "Black Market Records" on a weekly basis, whilst at the same time producing and crafting his sound.

During his time at University whilst studying Music Technology, his first vinyl release would come in 2005 on Aphrodite & Mickey Finn’s classic Jungle label "Urban Takeover" under alias "Dangerous" and his own imprint back then "Xplicit Sound." Within a short space of time by the age of 19 he had forced himself into the Drum n Bass scene, and had started to play in the small rooms at major raves in London for legendary promoters such as United Dance, One Nation, and Movement, to name a few, as well as holding down a residency on London pirate radio station Origin 95.2 FM.

In 2007 Dax graduated from University and decided to take a year out to go traveling and the decision would completely change the path of his musical career. It was in this summer that Dax discovered the sounds of Techno during a whole season spent in Ibiza. From that point on his passion for cutting edge 4 by 4 beats took over and a brand new direction had presented itself.

Fast forward on and Dax’s love of classic UK club culture still remains deeply rooted inside him, influencing his productions and DJ sets to this day. He runs his own record label and studio in Berlin where he continues to work tirelessly on his craft. With a constant supply of music set to be released and a tour schedule fully booked up a year in advance at the most important clubs and festivals around the globe, the UK artist is firmly set for many more successful years to come.

It’s been a while since we released a V/A on Noir Music and I only ever compile them whenever I feel I have 5-6 tracks that stand out.

Dark Stars Volume 4 has been 6 months in the making and yes..... I know I am picky with the music I sign. I hear that on an almost daily basis.
But even though I could pick music from many different artists it still took me months of compiling, testing the music in clubs and at festivals and then putting together the tracks I felt stood out and complimented each other.

The great thing about V/A’s is that you get the chance to put together a release from artists with completely different sounds and ideas.
Although the sound of Dark Stars Volume 4 is quite minimal sounding overall, it still reflects musicality and great in-depth productions by skillful and experienced artists.
Another great thing about Volume 4 is that these are all artists who make their debut on Noir Music.

I truly love playing every single track from this release and I enjoy watching the crowds reactions around the globe.
I feel no need to get deeper into detail about the specific tracks, as the music will speak for itself.

Her beginnings were spent combining her studies of audiovisual production and sound technician with events on weekends in venues throughout the Basque Country. When she moved to Barcelona, she started DJing and organizing parties with local collectives in venues such as La Cova, making an important place for herself on the Barcelona scene until today.

As an artist, we find ourselves in front of a real DJ, without frills. Her sessions are built in the purest old school style: Technique, fast and smart mixes, versatility and eclecticism. She is characterized by hooking the listener on a journey without rest that can encompass everything from groove to dark and raw sounds, always with that unmistakable signature. We cannot classify Paula in a specific Techno sub-style, but we can say that we are talking, most of the time, of forcefulness. From her beginnings, she was influenced from artists as diverse as James Ruskin, The Advent, Ben Sims, Surgeon or Slam, to name a few. We are talking about an artist in constant evolution who has known how to adapt to the times, always faithful to Techno.

In her role as a producer, we go back to the middle of 2000, when she began to edit Techno productions on vinyl in the international market. Her works during the past decades alone and with A. Professor with other akas such as Daisychain and Secret Labz paid off, thus achieving a more important place on the international scene with European tours and major festivals. It is also worth mentioning the vinyl references that came out in Patterns records and on her first label Grind Records, whose first release had a great success in 2009 until it sold out, receiving the support of many influential DJs on the scene. We can find his productions in a large number of European labels till today.

Since 2017, she has been immersed in the management of her label Combine Audio, where she has released works by recognized Techno artists such as Ben Sims, Ken Ishii, DJ Shufflemaster, Patrik Skoog, Gayle San ... along with more established and emerging artists. Combine Audio has carved a niche for itself on the Spanish techno label scene and has received the support of many artists worldwide. As she well says "This label is not for me, it´s for everyone" and with it she intends to support many emerging artists to keep the scene alive and make it grow.
