It's My Turn

“Melt” is a collection that captures the sonic qualities and subject matter that represents the collective voice of the members of Dizgo. We wanted to make an album that allowed each member to showcase their writing and spotlight the diversity and strengths of each individual’s style that we bring together to create our sound.  We drew inspiration from real experiences that took place on the road and in our personal lives to create the lyrical content. We made the title track of the album “Melt” because we feel the song represents the theme sound of what musical style we are currently embracing. The album was recorded and produced by the band in our rehearsal space over a two month period. Mixing and mastering was done in the following months by our good friend Austin Litz of the band Litz.

Whiteout

Neon Lineage (Flute Reprise) feels like cruising through the future with the windows down — all neon light and ancestral rhythm. The beat hits with heavy 808s and shimmering synths, but it’s the flute that carries the soul. Its melody drifts in and out like a memory — smooth, haunting, and alive — gliding over a backdrop of warm basslines and glowing chords.

You can hear the blend of worlds: old and new, analog and digital, street and cosmos. The rhythm knocks but never rushes, letting each note breathe. It’s a sound that feels rooted and futuristic at the same time — like hip-hop that’s evolved into a kind of digital jazz, still grounded in the pulse of the diaspora.

Think midnight city lights, chrome reflections, and a flute solo that sounds like home.
