Hi guys. I hope everyone is well. This piece of music was inspired by the thrilling painting, "The Wild Hunt Of Odin", painted in 1872 by Peter Nicolai Arbo. So I tried to come up with some equally thrilling music, where I took Wagner as my inspiration. I hope you enjoy it!

THE WILD HUNT OF ODIN

Hi guys, I know it's a little early for some, (me especially!), but not for others, so here's a little Christmas treat for you. It is my orchestral arrangement, of the beautiful song "A Little Love" by Celeste, which people from the UK will recognise as the song from the annual John Lewis advert, Christmas 2020. The original has such a beautiful and charming melody, with a vintage feel.

STAR WARS ~ REVENGE OF THE EMPIRE

A year after my published album, CINEMATIC NATURE was released, I have decided to release a remastered version of the entire album. This is not because I was not happy with the original, but I felt it the sound was a little dark compared to my usual sound, so I aimed to bring it into line with all my other stuff. I also did it as a technical learning exercise.

Hi guys, I hope everyone is well. Some of you that follow me may know that I occasionally like to do cover versions, or my own arrangements of other artists' music. I've always loved the song Hushabye Mountain from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but I've always thought, (for some reason), that it was quite creepy and sinister. THE KISS

Hi guys, I hope everyone is well. Some of you that follow me know that I occasionally like to do cover versions, or my own arrangements of other artists' music. Here is my midi mockup of Brian Tyler's thrilling fanfare from the film, Now You See Me 2, which was all done by ear. I  mainly do these covers for ear training, and to pick apart some of the orchestration. This was really challenging and I tried to stay as close to the original as possible, though as usual with virtual instruments, I had to take some liberties with the arrangement in order to fill in some gaps.

NOW YOU SEE ME 2 (midi-mockup)

Here is a short tribute to my uncle who sadly passed away just before Christmas last year. You couldn't meet a more decent and fine man, hence my tribute offers him a hero's burial. 

On a musical and technical level, the project became corrupt and kept crashing in my PC every 5 minutes so it's underdeveloped and underfinished so I just had to try and drag it to some kind of fast conclusion to get through it and give it sense.

IN SILENCE I COME TO YOU

I last saw Tilly alive exactly one week ago. We found her dead at 6am on Thursday 5th October. She was killed under horrific circumstances. I didn't want my last memory to be of her broken body lying on the cold tarmac. She didn't deserve her life to be snuffed out that way. So I wrote this tribute, something majestic, befitting of the queen that she was. 

I'd been watching documentaries about people having after death experiences, how time became meaningless, and how they were floating through the cosmos. I was also watching videos showing some of the most beautiful scenes from the film "Interstellar", which gave me inspiration for the music.

INTERSTELLAR ~ TILLY

Hi guys, I hope everybody is well. I was due to start scoring a horror film which was delayed and delayed for the past couple of years. I then discovered at the 11th hour that the opportunity had been given to another composer. It was a huge disappointment for me but life is full of them. I had been working on a few themes and some textures, on and off in preparation. Here is a textural background piece of noise, but I may post some of the others is due time, more complete works, otherwise they won't see the light of day. Wishing everyone well, including everyone involved in the film.

PANDORA

This is a piece I've been working on for songwriter/composer Hal Dickens. Hal wrote this as a fantasy love song from Esmeralda to Quasimodo, the Hunchback of Notre Dame. He will be recording this as a song later this year but in the meantime, here is my orchestral arrangement of Hal's original piano composition.

YOU'RE NOT MADE OF STONE

Hi guys. Here is a brand new track. It's my musical interpretation of "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse". I just wanted to mention at this point, that despite it's dark content, it is in no way inspired by, or bears any relation to the terrible events unfolding right now with this awful coronavirus. I've been working on this, on and off, before Christmas last year, long before these things happened. So if you think it's maybe in bad taste, or bad timing, you're possibly right but that was never my intention. It's just a piece of music, nothing more.

RACE THROUGH THE VORTEX

Here is a short piece based I did for a Facebook "Composer Challenge" group. It is based on the character of Vlad the Impaler, in some folklore known as the inspiration for Dracula. Rather than going for out and out horror, I decided to focus on the gothic tragedy side of the character.

I have been working very hard on a fifteen track fantasy album, which will be coming in the new year, if I ever get it finished..
