About Adnan Jakubovic:

Adnan Jakubovic, born in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, found his passion for electronic music early on. His journey began in the early 2000s when he purchased Music For The Jilted Generation by The Prodigy. This moment ignited his fascination with electronic music, shaping his future career.

In 2004, at 17 years old, Jakubovic attended his first techno event, headlined by Chris Liebing at Arion Club in Tuzla. The experience left a lasting impression, deepening his commitment to electronic music and inspiring him to attend festivals and events regularly.

Despite growing up in a town where electronic music wasn't widely embraced, Jakubovic nurtured his connection to the sound. His first live DJ performance came in 2009, and by 2010, he was performing at smaller festivals in Lukavac and Gračanica. During this time, he also began experimenting with music production, and in 2011, he released his first official track, marking the start of his journey into progressive house.

In August 2013, Jakubovic launched his Big Bells podcast on Tenzi.fm, which quickly gained a loyal following. Over time, the podcast grew, reaching a wider audience across multiple stations. Today, the Big Bells brand has evolved into something even greater, with Jakubovic running Big Bells with Adnan Jakubovic on Proton Radio—a show that continues to draw thousands of listeners from around the world, making it a cornerstone of the global progressive house scene.

As a producer, Jakubovic has established himself with over 50 releases on major platforms like Beatport. His distinctive sound, blending elements of progressive house and trance, has earned him a dedicated following. His music has been released on labels such as DAR Digital, Mistique Music, Carica Records, OLD SQL Recordings, Balkan Connection, and Modern Agenda, among others. Known for his originality and emotional depth, Jakubovic’s work resonates within the progressive house community.

In addition to his production work, Jakubovic has also expanded his influence as a label owner and promoter. In 2019, he founded Big Bells Records, a label dedicated to releasing high-quality progressive house music, and Big Bells Digital, a promotional agency that has helped grow the careers of many artists in the genre. Both ventures have quickly gained recognition in the progressive house world, and with major projects slated for 2024 and 2025, Jakubovic’s impact continues to grow.

With his radio residency on Proton Radio, his thriving label Big Bells Records, and his promotional work through Big Bells Digital, Adnan Jakubovic remains at the forefront of the progressive house scene. His creativity, vision, and dedication to the genre continue to inspire listeners and shape the future of electronic music.
