In our 51st edition we welcomed the Greek DJ/Producer - @chaumofficial

Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of genres, Chaum weaves together a rich tapestry of melodic grooves, pulsating rhythms, and mesmerizing harmonies, resulting in a sonic journey that takes listeners on an unforgettable ride. His ability to seamlessly blend deep, progressive, and melodic elements has earned him a devoted following and garnered attention from renowned record labels.

Chaum's musical journey began at a young age, with his early forays into the world of music starting at the age of 15. Despite being too young for official DJ sets in bars and music venues in his hometown of "Patras," he pursued his passion and later delved into the production of Electronic music. Not long after, he achieved his first release, a remix for Mikalogic's track "82 Love You (2013)" under the alias "Angelo M."

As he honed his skills as a music producer and audio engineer, Chaum's artistic vision evolved, leading him to adopt the moniker "Chaum" as a new artist name. Influenced by melodic trends and dark electronic music, he sought to reimagine the roots of " Deep House - Progressive House" in a fresh and creative manner.

A regular contributor to prestigious imprints such as Sudbeat, Hoomidaas, Manual, Movement Recordings, Mango Alley and Juicebox Records, Chaum has delivered a string of captivating releases that have left an indelible mark on the global electronic music scene. From enchanting melodies that transport you to another realm to pulsating basslines that ignite dancefloors, each track reflects Chaum's dedication to crafting music that resonates with the soul.

Biografía:
Mattías Herrera nació el 2 de julio de 1987 en la ciudad de La Rioja. Desde pequeño siempre se interesó por la música y todo tipo de instrumentos, amante de las percusiones, también se interesó por los instrumentos de cuerda como guitarras o bajos. Fanático de bandas como Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Soda Stereo y Sumo.          

Siendo adolescente comenzó a adentrarse en el mundo de la música electrónica como DJ, influenciado por grandes referentes como Mano Le Thought, Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, John Digweed, Nicolas Jaar y Fernando Ferreyra. 

Aproximadamente en el año 2015 inicia sus estudios de producción musical con Claudio Cornejo (Analog Jungs) y Ezequiel Arias, desde ese día no ha dejado de crear música en géneros como Progressive, Progressive House, Melodic Techno, House, Deep House.
 
Muchos de sus trabajos contaron con el apoyo de grandes de la escena como Nick Warren entre otros.

"Beijing Blur" (Original Mix)

Originally released in 1994. L.S.G.’s ‘Blueprint EP’, containing “Hearts” and “Blueprint” remains an undisputed reference for a whole musical genre. It was one of the most successful releases at the time and indeed a blueprint for things to come. The man behind L.S.G. and other projects is Oliver Lieb, one of the most talented producers of electronic music. The two tracks perfectly showcase L.S.G.’s eerie sound creations in a perfect production and all his science works at its finest in this EP. “Hearts” is a heart-breaking tune with a distorted line and a melancholic harp evolving. “Blueprint” adds even more depth, tension and mystery before launching its amazingly gated synths and this famous little melody. It's unbelievable how perfect the sounds are, both on the musicality/harmony and mixing/mastering. The Blueprint EP has been remastered by Oliver Lieb in 2025.
