About Shell Robinson:

As an experienced progressive house DJ with roots in the vibrant music scene of the Midwest and now based in the dynamic San Francisco Bay Area, Shell has been crafting sonic journeys since the early 2000s. With a multifaceted background as a DJ, aspiring producer, vocalist, pianist, and avid house music collector, Shell's passion for electronic music runs deep. 

Shell's musical journey began amidst personal challenges, finding solace and inspiration in the pulsating beats of house music after experiencing the profound loss of her young son to illness. 

It was within the walls of "That Groovy Little Nightclub" in Cleveland where she discovered the transformative power of house music, propelling her into a realm of creativity and healing. 

Inspired by legendary DJs and producers, Shell embarked on a journey of self-discovery and musical exploration, honing her craft behind the decks. Her sets, characterised by their seamless transitions and emotive energy, have captivated audiences across renowned venues such as Moda Cleveland and Amnesia Columbus. Notably, she toured various locations in the USA alongside esteemed artists like D:FUSE, further solidifying her presence in the electronic music scene. 

After a hiatus, Shell returns to the forefront of the electronic music landscape with an EP release, marking a triumphant comeback to the art form that has been her salvation. Reflecting on her journey, Shell embraces vulnerability and authenticity, channeling her experiences into her music with the intention of touching hearts and moving souls. 

Driven by a desire to share her passion and connect with audiences on a profound level, Shell's sets are more than just musical experiences; they are transformative journeys that transcend boundaries and inspire catharsis. With a renewed sense of purpose and a commitment to pushing boundaries, Shell invites listeners to join her on a voyage of self-discovery and liberation through the power of house music.

Shell Robinson stands at the intersection of classical training and electronic music innovation. A classically trained pianist turned house music artist, she brings a unique musicality to her productions and DJ sets that seamlessly blends technical precision with raw emotional depth.
Her journey in electronic music began in 2000 at Cleveland's "That Groovy Little Nightclub." Following a personal tragedy, house music became a powerful outlet for healing and connection. Influenced by industry pioneers like Deep Dish, Digweed, Sasha, and Hernan Cattaneo, Shell developed her signature style through dedicated craftsmanship, starting with two Technics turntables and pure determination.
The early 2000s saw Shell establish herself as a resident DJ at Moda Cleveland and Amnesia Columbus, while touring nationally alongside D:FUSE, including notable performances at San Francisco's iconic 1015 Folsom and Austin's vibrant 6th Street district. Her sets are carefully curated journeys through house music's emotional landscape, known for their progressive buildups and engaging energy that resonates with audiences.
After taking time to raise her daughter while maintaining an executive career in PropTech, Shell has returned to the decks with renewed passion and fresh perspective. Her recent releases on inU and UV Noir showcase her evolution as an artist, combining her classical foundation with contemporary electronic production techniques.
Shell's sets blend technical skill with musical intuition, creating memorable experiences on the dancefloor. Her unique background as a vocalist and pianist adds layers of musicality to her productions, setting her apart in today's electronic music landscape.
