I'm Paul Cherrie aka Mister PC and as a live entertainer I do wear a few hats (insert 'bald' gag here).  As a musician I play steel pans (or steel drums, if you prefer), but I'm also a professional singer. I do sometimes combine the two in the bands I lead. One of those is Solid Steel- a modern professional UK-based steel band. Whether playing modern pop or traditional Caribbean music, the steel pan evokes sunshine and happiness- and this band is one of my clients most popular choices. 
My background is that I am UK born but my father originates from Trinidad, home of the steel band, so that’s the authentic Caribbean spirit I feel I bring to all of my professional performances.Even as a jazz singer those Caribbean and Latin influences are what I would like my audiences to think sets me apart from other performers. 
I'm available for hire with or without band members based principally in London & Manchester, but with associate musicians throughout the country. As such I offer a wide range of performance packages with solos, duos and various band sizes and set lengths.
My Gallery shows that generally I work with a small family of musicians with no age, gender or racial bias beyond availability within any particular musical field. I book good musicians above all else with most of us having a second instrument we also play at a professional level.
I have a very large repertoire in all my projects and I'm very sympathetic to my clients' song requests- as professional pride dictates I am able to tackle nearly anything musically that is thrown at me!
