Danny Boi Bleu is born in Chicago's Cook County Hospital, raised in Cabrini Green Housing Projects, who brought us the likes of Curtis Mayfield, Jerry Butler, Isaiah Sharkey, one of the greatest sound engineers and self-taught guitarist Danny Leake. Boi Bleu guitar style comes from the influences of Albert King, T-Bone Walker, and Jimi Hendrix to name a few. Other Blues artist that hail from Chicago that had an impact on Danny Boi Bleu are, Ellas Otha Bates (a.k.a. Bo Diddley), Chester Arthur Burnett (a.k.a. Howlin' Wolf), and Buddy Guy.
 Learning to play on his own, picking up tips from where ever he could get them. Retired as a I.B.E.W. Local 134 electrician of Chicago after 31 years in the trade. Still pursued his love for music. Started to record at 59 years of age. Joining forces with always fresh Mood Indigo Recording/Trace Ellington who helped him refine his Blues style. Thus, came Danny Boi Bleu and his smooth blend of Traditional Blues, with rock blues to give you a nice flavor of what he calls Nu Blues. Sit back, relax, and breathe.

As a Nu style of Blues takes the reins.
