Last minute request to play a 2 hour set on New Years Eve due to a friend being let down.(Ended playing for 2 hours 20 mins).Set 8.30pm to 10.50pm.
Also, it had to be a Dance set with lots of hits so decided to use the UK end of year 'Pop' Charts from 1993 to 2023 - 30 years worth.

My first, 102 bpm, mellow, happy daze, ambient, chill out mix. Very enjoyable putting the mix together. Usual challenges/patience and hard work but also loved experimenting with tunes that work just as well at 102 rather than their usual 126/128 bpm. Classics like 'God is a DJ' and the line 'This is my church' worked so well at 102. (Whole mix inspired by Carl Cox - lockdown - Sunday 'Vinyl Sessions' as he has been mixing all genres and styles every week).

Born in Liverpool then moved to Southport in my twenties.  Music, of all genres, has played a very important role in my life but it was hearing, for the first time, the 12 inch version of Donna Summer's 'I feel love'  that caused the House/Dance music epiphany.
This was soon followed by more mind blowing discoveries within Techno and Acid House.
All of which brought peace, love, unity and more and more great music.
Long may it continue.
