We first came across Hollen when he released on Supernova's Lapsus imprint back in 2011 and we’ve been playing his tracks ever since. His recent output has been nothing short of outstanding with killer releases on Toolroom Trax, Agile & Loose so I was very happy when he sent these two in for GU. 

As you'd expect, both of these are tough, jacking, techno bangers. "Red Fox" goes down the rapid-fire synth route while "Mainstream" opts for tripy vocal chops and system shaking bass pops.

Tronic needs no introduction for those who have followed dance music for the last 20 or so years. Since its inception back in 1994, Christian Smith has founded a label that constantly delivers top techno tracks year after year. Not only does he run the label, but also has his long-standing Tronic radio show, which is syndicated in more than over 100 countries worldwide.
Known and loved for its albums, Tronic released the very first of its kind with a collaboration only project in 2017 with 'Synergy' and this June we can reveal who is on the official remix pack. 
New names to the label appear on this release, including Petter B and Oliver Deutschmann with their heavy hitting tracks in the pack. Fast-paced, synthetic soundscapes and intricate percussive elements for some late-night rave style rework.
Shall Ocin comes in with a rolling synthetic hook, dark ominous bellowing horns, and a punchy clap, whilst Agaric's complex remix has an array of pad and synth work for a futuristic edge to the original.
Acid and breakbeat are coming back, and that can be heard in both the Jam El Mar and Zeta Reticula remixes. Jam El Mar, the only artist to have released on Tronic before drops a snapping acid line, thick kick and has a massive pad engulfing the mix, this is a big room techno anthem with a hint of trance. Zeta Reticula's breakbeat electro inspired attitude reigns in the mix, with a vocoder vocal coupled with some synths.
Tronic growing the label's roster with some fantastic new artists on this release, with a track for everyone!

UK producer Archie Hamilton has announced details of his debut album ‘Archive Fiction’, forthcoming on Moscow Records. Written as a first-person exploration of the positive transformational effect of house music, it’s a narrative of a life-changing night on a dancefloor.

Informed by Archie’s extensive experiences in clubs since his early teens, ‘Archive Fiction’ is ten tracks seamlessly mixed together into one complete body of work. Merging Archie’s rich musical upbringing with more contemporary tastes, the LP incorporates his signature and trademark minimal styles with a myriad of influences including trip-hop, dub-techno, acid jazz, drum’n’bass and house.

The early tones of the LP are rooted in the melancholic sentiments of first tracks ‘Six Years Later’ and ‘Lifted’. Embracing dark and downtempo elements, the changing pace of ‘Relax Your Body’ then flips to a more positive trajectory and into one of the album’s most pivotal moments, ‘Make The Difference’ feat. Mr V. An anthemic slice of smooth and soulful vocal deep-house, this track is geared towards invoking a sense of complete sanctuary and letting go of all worries.

The heads-down ‘Can’t Be Serious’ takes the listener into more rolling territory and leads into another key moment on the LP, ‘Eye of the Storm’ featuring vocals from drum’n’bass royalty, Onallee. The ex-member of infamous Reprazent crew came out of semi retirement to feature on this cut which draws on Archie’s early Bristolian experiences.

The sparse and stripped-back ‘Dustin Off Man’ is an ode to Archie’s love of dub-techno, one of his fundamental entry points into electronic music inspired by early masters of the genre Rod Modell and Moritz Von Oswald.

The sumptuous and atmospheric ‘A Little Lower’ slows the pace and invokes a journey through dub and acid jazz, recorded with the live bass guitar acoustics of Navid Asghari, a composition inspired by Archie’s affinity to the likes of Portishead, DJ Krush and Thievery Corporation.

The soulful and life affirming sensations of ‘Quicksand’ roll into the album’s crescendo, ‘Waisted’, a vibrant and powerful slice of the signature Archie Hamilton sound, geared for peak-time energy.

An album fuelled by over 10 years of production experience and a lifetime committed to music, ‘Archive Fiction’ is a debut that showcases the breadth of Archie’s palate as a producer and his ability to transcend the world of underground house.

Hamilton has been playing the Gottwood Festival DJ’s music in his sets for years now and following his ‘One Morning In Staines EP’ on Moss Co. Charlie Banks has seen further support from artists like Seb Zito, Diego Krause, and Traumer. Appearing on Moscow Records, the breakthrough London-based producer returns for his second statement release of 2019.

Opening his next release, ‘Flight Mode’ instantly deploys a sultry bassline as trickling subtleties operate alongside crunchy snares, making way for a stuttering warped melody and crystal synths – the result is both deep and energetic. On the flip, thudding kicks and echoing effects lay the foundations for ‘Project X’ as a meandering sequence joins a thunderous low-end. Tying it all together, Archie Hamilton’s remix of ‘Flight Mode’ boasts a complex rhythm from the off as various different percussive elements interlink to create a mesmerising dancefloor roller complete with acid licks.

Taken from Hamilton’s debut album ‘Archive Fiction’, which dropped earlier this year on Moscow Records, ‘Eye Of The Storm’ featuring Reprazent artist Onallee, gets the remix treatment from two renowned producers with a reimagined garage inspired mix from the boss himself. Two acclaimed British artists, Rekids boss and esteemed remixer Radio Slave leads the release with Hamilton’s VIP mix alongside Olmeto and Plank Records owner and artist Bushwacka!

Radio Slave’s remix of ‘Eye Of The Storm feat. Onallee’ opens with a thundering kick, haunting effects, rolling vox-cuts and rattling hats with an ecstasy inducing breakdown. Archie Hamilton’s VIP mix then goes down a classic bubbling bassline route, featuring crunchy cymbals and phasing synths when Bushwacka! then goes on to close the release with break styled drum programming, rumbling toms, zapping flute like samples and jungle shakers on his remix.

Michael James debuts on Infuse to open the New Year, delivering three original productions in the form of his ‘Fat Earth’ EP. A surging name within the scene, Manchester’s Michael James is quickly becoming a staple name in the record bags of some of the biggest names in the game following an impressive string of releases via the likes of Constant Sound and sub-imprint Constant Black, Mulen Records and Hoarder. Taking inspiration from artists including Ricardo Villalobos and Zip through to Raresh, Rhadoo and Barac, the blossoming producer, DJ and digger has forged a sound combining his own take on house, minimal and dub techno – resulting in appearances at the likes of fabric (London), S.A.S.H (Sydney) and DC-10 (Ibiza), not to mention his long-standing residency at The Zoo Project. We still love tech-house, confetti and inflatables but the fourth EP of Caal and Baum on the label marks an evolution of their sound and label's sound too. Electronic music trends are always changing and evolving and we have an obligation and responsibility to going forward. 'Energy' and 'Sex' are still groovy tech-house tracks but sounding like we expect in 2020.

'Energy' is about an arpeggiated bassline, infectious and groovy drum loops, catchy vocals and uplifting breakdowns. The classic formula with a twist, listen to it and you will see. 'Sex' is little more deep but still powerful, leaded by a male vocal talking about what people are still having. Two solid tracks for up-to-date dancefloors!

The vocal hook hints at a long lost lover whilst the pulsing beat draws the listener in. A mainstay in the house scene for over ten years, Leon has produced a number of recognised tracks on labels including; Saved Records, Defected, VIVa, ReBirth whilst event highlights include; Sunwaves, Pacha and Ministry Of Sound. NiCe7 are famed for their chart topping hits and high energy shows. The duo have performed at Space, Watergate and Ministry of Sound with releases on; Snatch!, Noir Music, Get Physical, Gruuv and Mother. Rising the ranks from an early age, Serge Devant’s breakthrough was in 2005 with ‘Fearing Love’ on Emerald City. A firm favourite on Damian’s imprint, Serge Devant last featured on the label in 2018 featuring an Archie Hamilton remix. Spanish artist Cuartero returns to Hot Creations this June with his infectious grooves to deliver the fiery two-tracker What Luv, marking his fourth release on the revered imprint.

Title track What Luv is built for the peak-time dancefloor. Familiar vocal stabs compliment the intricate percussion and underlying emotive chords that meld into a frenzied breakdown. On the flip, Open Ended swings and bounces with intermittent blips and faint vocal whispers. A trippy, minimal number to roll you into the early hours.

Sanity boss Cuartero began producing at the age of fifteen and shot onto the world stage in 2012, DJing over five continents and releasing on labels such as Desolat, Moon Harbour, Saved, Circus and Hot Creations. In 2015 he was named Best Newcomer DJ at the DJ Awards and in 2017 he won Best Tech House Artist and Artist Of The Year at the Vicious Music Awards.
