Those that have followed me as a DJ for a long time will know Funky Logic, a mix I did in 2002 for Key 103FM.  It's one of my favourite recorded mixes. It was one of those mixes, that all DJs have occasionally, where everything seems to fit and flow perfectly.  It was a combination of house, techno, and electro.    

This new mix is the natural successor.

I intentionally try to play with the mind of the listener, through genre jumping, energy switching, speed (range of BPMs), and dynamic range.  Lots of DJs talk about taking you on a journey when often they just go from deep to banging.  This is a real journey mix, not something to dip in and out of, but something to listen to when you've got a clear few hours free, a dark room, and a good soundsystem (or headphones). 

The intent is to create a confusion about where in the mix you are, and therefore making you feel like you have no idea what's coming next, how long you've been listening, or where the end is.  

As much as possible I have tried to find tracks where the production is exceptional, to keep that sense of space and quality throughout.

Paul Louth was been a mainstay of the London scene from 1999-2015, with a residency at legendary night Prologue (The Cross, The Egg, The End, East Village), as well as many appearances at Fabric and all over the world.

Paul is co-founder of the Dancing With Strangers label and currently produces under the name Agile Kind, and has previously released under Waterwalk and his own name.
