Such a heartfelt, beautiful song!! Piano accompaniment is perfect, and the vocal/ piano intertwining is spellbinding!! Excellent choice to keep the accompaniment minimal!

Morry's been at it again with this Maverick's cover. He recorded this with a new Yamaha electric-acoustic and some other new toys in his studio. Hope you like it. We're chipping away at some new originals and will post more soon.

What A Crying shame (The Mavericks Cover)

This terrific song is the work of our friend Steve Low who granted us permission to attempt a cover. As much as we love Steve's original, we saw no point in trying to do it the same as he so wonderfully did, so we thought it would be fun to go country, perhaps a bit bluegrass and we're very excited to share it here. The song has some terrific lyrics that describe the longing one experiences when the one they love is gone. We thank Steve for allowing us the privilege and we also are pleased to again feature the amazing banjo work of Hamilton Belk.

Originally recorded this in 2017 but I learned a thing or two about mixing and mastering since then. Also I have better tools to perform said mixing and mastering more adequately. So I went back to the recording and fixed the drums, guitars, bass, vocals, overall mix and mastering treatment.

Especially this track for the run at the time was in need of it (I am happy with the other tracks for the most part).
