Damping Factor is an Electronic Music producer based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. A world renowned filmmaker, he started his music career later in life, influenced by great artists such as Pryda, Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Kraftwerk, Giorgio Moroder, Above & Beyond, Kaskade, Daft Punk, Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, and many others.
Making music had always been a lifelong dream, but work and family life left no time for learning. It was the COVID 19 pandemic that opened the doors to fulfilling this dream because, suddenly, jobs stopped coming in and there was finally some free time.  After learning online from great teachers from around the world, and months of musical immersion, the first track was finally released in late 2020. His previous experience as a recording engineer and audio mixer for video gave him the technical foundation for producing. 
Damping Factor also makes his own music videos, most of them featuring video art, computer generated imagery, and paint synthesis.

Three long time friends and fine musicians got together to create some new music. Its been an interesting and unusual year for all but creating new music is always a good way to keep our sanity. Hauff and Trupia started to collaborate in 2015 after many years of playing together. 2020 has them writing at optimal levels and with the addition of Michael Sciotto on drums, backing vocals and producer the music has really been taken to a new level.

Gerald Shaffer Bio.

Founder of the Doonesbury band Gerald is a Canadian musician and writer, producer, and performer. He is 56 years old and lives a rural life in roberts creek bc with his family.

His songs are alternative rock - inspired by southern blues, english blues, rock and roll, trance and 70's 

Today Gerald produces his own music under the Shaffer Music label. He sings and  plays keyboard, guitar, harmonica
