Started as a mobile DJ with Chymes International mobile disco’s at Windsor Safari Park (now Legoland)  which led to my move to the Middle East to DJ at the Gulf Hotel in Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman (which truly changed my life!) and my first introduction to broadcasting, firstly as a (useless) newscaster at Radio Oman (2 hours of English-language broadcasting per day) and then presenting a weekly programme (recorded on my disco unit in the Hotel!) I called ‘DiscOman’ (clever eh?) 2.5 years DJ-ing in Muscat led to my relocation to Bahrain, the Island where I truly cut my teeth on music radio, working with a top crew of English broadcasters on Radio Bahrain, a commercial, English-language, National radio station and interviewing such luminaries as Professor Jimmy Edwards and Eric Sykes, Derek Nimmo, Patrick McNee, Petula Clarke and even Andrew Ridgely (Wham!) and Edwin Starr. Returning (eventually) to the UK, having a Radio Broadland presenter as a customer of the pub I bought, I was invited to become a late night presenter, then went onto early evenings and then finally took promotion to Drive Time, on the regional, commercial radio station, Radio Broadland (the Big Time!).  In addition, I had a spell with BBC Radio Norfolk and finally ended a career, perhaps unusually, not exclusively as a radio presenter, but back in broadcasting again with local radio station Park Radio where, once again, I ended up interviewing very many well known celebrities and performers, such as Shakatak, Lindisfarne, Paul Young, Joni Mitchell, Si Cranstoun, The Real Thing etc.
