@buchneroberst have been a very special project for us ever since their release of “Doves” which was recorded with Mimu and included a remix by both Rampue and Patlac. But even before that Sebastian Oberst and Andreas Buchner formed the perfect example of a great live act. In March 2016 they provided “Erdberg” as a free download on trndmsk— now they want to follow up with a contribution to our Future Stars series. Their set was recorded live and is titled “Secretly”. We talked to them about the creation of the set, their Downtempo event series Heimlich and their future releases. (...)

Dass @buchneroberst für uns etwas ganz Besonderes bedeuten, ist nicht nur seit der Veröffentlichung ihrer Nummer „Doves“, die sie mit Mimu aufnahmen und zu der Rampue und Patlac jeweils einen Remix kreierten, klar. Schon zuvor Sebastian Andreas und Oberst Buchner eine Paradebeispiel dafür, was einen guten Liveact ausmacht. Im März diesen Jahres veröffentlichten sie bereits über trndmsk die tolle Nummer „Erdberg“ als freien Download – und nun wartet der nächste Geniestreich: ein Beitrag zu unserer Reihe Future Stars. Auch diese Woche hab ich wieder Sonne und Harmonie im Gepäck. Florian Rietze ist gerade auf einem langen Asien-Trip unterwegs und schickt uns seinen musikalischen Reisebericht aus dem Norden Thailands.
 
Florian begleitet mich auf soundcloud schon fast von Anfang an. Immer wieder überzeugt der gebürtige Potsdamer mit seinen grandiosen und stimmigen Produktionen und Remixen, unteranderem für Steyoyoke, Délicieuse Musique, URSL oder meine Freunde von Amselcom. 

Musik war ihm quasi schon in die Wiege gelegt … und man merkt sofort, dass er ein Vollblut-Musiker ist. Seine Mixe überzeugen immer durch Raffinesse, Tempowechsel und diese einzigartige Fähigkeit Geschichten zu erzählen. Auch dieser Mix hat mal wieder alle meine Erwartungen übertroffen, von Anfang bis Ende Harmonie PUR. 
Dank Florian das wir mit dir verreisen (Pai Tiau) dürfen … noch viel Spaß auf deinem Trip.

MIDAS 104 ( URSL // KATERMUKKE // Berlin ) presents Afterhour Sounds Podcast 104

Passenderweise zeichnet sich für unsere #104 der großartige Musikvirtuose MIDAS 104 verantwortlich. Wie viele Produzenten von elektronischer Musik liegen auch seine Anfänge in den Tiefen des Hip-Hop verborgen. Als Berliner Kind ist es natürlich nur eine Frage der Zeit bis man eines Tages auch Berührungspunkte mit elektronischer Musik erfährt, was in seinem Fall ein sehr prägendes Erlebnis gewesen sein muss. 

Auf sein Debüt-Release im Jahr 2013 auf Katermukke​ folgten mittlerweile etliche sehr erfolgreiche Veröffentlichungen auf so namhaften Labels wie URSL​ - Einmusika Recordings​ - Crossfrontier Audio​ - Parquet Recordings​ - Dantze​. Allein die Labels auf denen der Berliner seine Produktionen bisher veröffentlicht hat liest sich wie das 'Who is Who' der elektronischen Musikszene. Solche Erfolge kommen natürlich nicht von ungefähr, so stehen seine Produktionen für eine außergewöhnlich hohe Qualität und Vielfalt. Ein weiteres Qualitätsmerkmal ist die stetige Weiterentwicklung seines Sounds, gerade wenn man sich einmal etwas intensiver mit seiner Musik beschäftigt hat, dann sticht dieser Prozess besonders hervor. Dieser Fakt lässt darauf schließen, dass wir auch in Zukunft noch sehr viel Freude mit den musikalischen Werken des sympathischen Berliners haben werden.  

Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich bei unserem lieben Freund MIDAS für sein Vertrauen in unser Projekt und sein musikalisches Meisterwerk bedanken mit dem wir euch nun maximalste Unterhaltung wünschen.
