There’s just something about stringed instruments that touches our shaken souls, embraces them, lifts them up and tosses them around until we lose track of time and space. Some people experiment with psychedelics to reach that effect, you really just need ears though. Not to say they won’t subsidize, but that’s a matter for another time.

Put those strings into context, give them space to breathe, support them with a rhythmic backbone, throw in a metaphorical surfboard and they will call themselves “ali dada”.
The swiss/intergalactic formation consisting of Orlando Ludens, mfjaeger and Max Licht join our little trip sitting outlet with their soothing “empa nada” EP.

Reminiscent of surf rock and shoegaze from the golden days, taken into the future with some modular goodness and further musical machinery, the trio delivers four timeless pieces of cosmic proportions. Nothing seems rigid here, rules don’t apply, a sense of improvisation hangs in the room, even after the last bar fades. Music for melting into your couch, or getting your first sunburn of the season, as well as putting another log into the fireplace.
Timeless, as I mentioned earlier.

And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve added four ingenious takes on those originals, ranging from even dubbier shores right onto the dancefloors. The bands own mfj goes first with a mind bending extension of “lauf”, handing the torch over to beat breaking Chewlie who deconstructed “empa nada”, followed by a weird house take on “sofaul” from our dearest Fereinwonung Koratien, who contributed the wildly trippy artwork as well, finished off with a definite stomper twist of “late” by IroniMo who wouldn’t take any chances.

About a year on since his first incursion on Stil vor Talent with the acclaimed "Cosmic Silence" EP, Italian-born Berlin-based producer Cioz resurfaces on the label with "Be One Wachaka", the first single taken from his forthcoming debut album, "Supermassive Whole", scheduled for release in late December 2022. Championing a sound tailored for extensive floor communions and soul-balancing introspection altogether, Cioz graces us with a pristine slice of his broad-spectrum explorations, bending intuitively between deep-diving dubs, big-room polyphonies and proper euphoria-inducing rave artillery. 

The lead-single "Wachaka" finds Cioz teaming up with Cape Town's very own Ryan Murgatroyd for a round of all-embracing electronics geared towards pure sense-awakening, floor-sweeping let go. Injecting traditional deep house with a vibrant dose of Afro-influenced templates and spacious cosmic interplays, the track swells with a blazing fire at heart that keeps on sprawling infectiously with each and every bar, inch-perfectly engineered breaks and drops providing the epic drive that'll get your feet off the ground and soul fulfilled wholeheartedly. Starting off to the austere sound of church bells, "B1" swiftly veers off into stealth floor-busting mode with its muted sub-bass onslaughts and cascading bleeps coming out of their thick reverb-shrouded squelch to extend into a more pop-friendly, drum-driven environment. In its second movement, "B1" roars with louder than loud, batucada-inspired drum lines and a relentless, sizzling-hot grit that makes it comfortable across all terrains.

Dingir ties in with the usual Matchy sound on Katermukke: a driving bassline, his signature catchy main melody, funky percussions and lots of emotions - depicted by Matchy himself as “happy melancholy”.

The word “Dingir” describes something divine. In this sense the track evolves up to a silent, mystic break with big chords. Yet building up again to unfold the main melody’s full potential, finally dropping into a state of ecstasy.

Finally, the time has come.

After a small discovery phase this year, we can finally announce that the first sounds of PAULUM. will be audible very soon.

Besides activities as an event organizer, we can finally announce the first record release.

The starting date is the 16th of December, 2022.

You can expect an EP from CVO, founder and puppet master of PAULUM. 
The 4 track single, called "Secret Garden", is a nice mix between bouncy minimal house and groovy breakbeats. 
2 originals are on the menu with 2 superb remixes.

Friz07, a long time friend and labelmate of CVO (love goes out to Bladehouse), has turned the breaky track into a wonderfully twisted world of minimal house. The trippy sounds of his take on „Dont Stop“ invite you to dream but are driven by a distinct, perfectly positioned bassline. A wonderful tool to send the crowd on another journey in the morning hours.

The EP is rounded off by a super crisp and pushy remix by none other than Nick Beringer. He has processed the elements of the title track "Secret Garden" very subtly and created a powerful peaktime version. We are joyful to have this gifted music producer and founder of "Rubisco" on board and thus laying the foundation for PAULUM.

And last but not least, big thanks to Tripmastaz for the beautiful mastering!

Don Brazo is one of a kind. His productions like „Klafuenf“ for the Berlin Club Label Ritter Butzke Studio was a nice and often played track, bringing the Summer-in-Berlin-feel to the Ravers on the dancefloor. Releases on other labels like aromamusic or Cube Tribe followed. He is a safe card for a nice dancefloor and so is his music. This time he stays funky , just like his style normally is, but he also manages to give his track a real techno feel. Its a nice piece of music for a packed saturday night club floor. „Feng Shui“ is not only a great trackname, its a reference to the function of Feng Shui, meaning a sound can change the feel of a room completely. Don Brazo definitely manages to bring a good vibe into the room of a good club with his „Feng Shui“.
