Part 2 of AVA’s 100th release combines 3 unique remixes for a varied selection of styles suitable for any set time. For the peak time 138 lovers, Subculture star Chris Metcalfe turns in a soaring uplifter filled with understated acid stabs, driving bass and airy lead synths. Leeds based brotherly duo Stuart and Ben Turner has burst onto the scene in the past 18 months, and their tough tech-trancer Knightfall rises as a contender for one of the anthems of 2015.

Striking a chord with Markus Schulz with their previous effort Blackgate, the Arkham Knights were invited to contribute something exclusive to the Coldharbour boss' Ministry of Sound Trance Nation CD.

Not only does it play a starring role on the compilation, but has been an ever-present in Markus' livesets since summer's tail-end. Matching a euphoric melody with menacing percussion, Knightfall lands perfectly for the winter season.

Having demonstrated his credentials as one of the finest exponents in the progressive side of trance, Canadian rising star Solid Stone gears up for his debut album with an important piece released as a single, entitled Pushing Up.

The Montreal native signalled his intentions for a groove-laiden album with double EP Profound and Get On My Vinyl prior to Christmas, and with Pushing Up he collaborates with one of trance's distinguished voices, his good friend Jennifer Rene. The result is outstanding, with a deeply, darkened composition which will set the dancefloor firmly in motion inside the dark confines of a club.

To back up the original, UK brotherly duo Arkham Knights are recruited, and their infectious combination of tech and trance come to the fore again, taking Pushing Up to the peak festival ambiance.

With both versions receiving extensive support from label owner Markus Schulz, Pushing Up will possess a broad appeal with the mixes on offer. Whatever choice you make, it's one that will do the business.
