Hanoi's misty weather at the moment can feel dreamlike - great for songwriters! Here's a new ballad I just wrote about early spring in Hanoi, continuing a long tradition of songs about the weather in cities.

and mist obscures my view
I get lost in winding lanes under neon's glow

When rain begins to fall
and people make their way
I will drown in waves of capes of red and green

Hanoi, what am I to do?
all my days turn blue
when your skies are grey
Hanoi, don't leave me waiting here
for the sun to reappear
and the mist to fade away

When Hanoi skies are grey
and you are by my side
We get lost in cafes' shimmering lakes of Spring

I cannot turn away
from your skies of grey
I am lost in shining threads of red and gold
