Reminiscing over those cold days when the Mirau EP “To An End” warmed our ears like down hood conjures up memories of how Tim Keiling aka Erdbeerschnitzel shook his sample hat, pulled out a ray of canalized, homogeneous heat and pointed it at the danceﬂoor. Following more such dazzling tracks, brought into circulation via several different platforms, the Erdbeerschnitzel Debut Album is now approaching and will be released on Mirau at the end of the year. 

The digital single “Through the Night” sets the groove in advance. At its ﬁrst beats, we are back in the embrace of those ﬂuffy sample breezes and soulful vocal fragments. The bass swings throughout the arrangement, taking a stumble here and there, funking and hiccupping in the pressure of the house beatʼs surface. Thereʼs an urge to surrender, toppling and stomping, to the benevolent pump of this music.“Confused” is the second track in this parcel. Along comes a rattling, dense force; from the depths, low-pitched sounds and textures shufﬂe to the surface, forming a billowing monster of passion 
that can break hearts. Forgiving sunrays peer through a crack in the club door,venturing out onto the dance ﬂoor. We are confused, and happy. Itʼs daytime again.

Pawas Gupta (known professionally as Pawas) is an Indian-born DJ and electronic music producer based in Berlin. With a classical foundation, particularly training on the tabla and self-taught skills in percussion, bass guitar, and keyboards, he began his DJ career in India at age 17. In 2004, he relocated to Europe, rapidly establishing himself in Germany’s electronic scene.

Transitioning into music production, Pawas made a strong entry in 2007 with the release "Katang" . Since then, he’s released popular tracks like Det (with Daso), Playtex EP, Bummelzug, Piano Rain, Naja (with Arooj Aftab) and Camel blues, on respected labels including Spectral Sound, Connaisseur, Squonk, Get Physical and Night Drive Music. Many of these have been supported by heavyweights such as Dubfire, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Marc Romboy, Jimpster, and Satoshi Tomiie. 

His signature sound fuses melodies, musicianship, atmospheric textures, deep house, and Detroit-influenced grooves—what he calls intelligent house. Pawas’s musical journey bridges his roots in classical Indian music with his experiences as an independent producer in Germany
