inspired by drumloops from organicdrumloops.com - the keyboard solos are played with breath controller :-). but the flute is a "real flute" ....... This track first felt like chillout, but somehow there's a permanent tension, which will not be resolved ... unsettling on the long run .. Try out :-D

The Uel are small, grey, legless, collectively-intelligent creatures of the moon Tkoru. Making music is how they communicate and co-ordinate. Thousands of them sing as they flow over one another, intertwining their melodies and themselves, building upon each other to imitate the virtual visiting human forms in front of them.

feeling introspective
things were only just OK
Then it turns to mud / bloody mud and dust [rust]

P-pushing the needle in / hush now/ for the sting
the mind thoroughly stalked / washed and brained
with the spin working overtime / overtime climbing feats
as feet slide underground

so hands auto-touch face / can't see a thing
uncomfortably dumb / I wonder why / there's a cry
blood full of razor blades and eyes full of blasting heat

SHUSHTAR - A THOUSAND AND ONE PERSIAN NOTES

This piece is an outgrowth of the previous sextet that is now a NONET, with English Horn, C Trumpet, violin, viola, cello, 2 marimbas, guitar and piano. This is fully polytempic, but is only standard tuned, no microtones. (unless of course 12tet in-itself is already microtuned as it deviates from just overtones) . This piece is sprightly and alive, quite the opposite of its composer, so that remains an enigma. 

Just Shut the Fuck UP, it's a Beautiful Day Outside and I have a Boner, so don't ruin it.

Composed and produced (mixing & mastering) by Val Akey. Used and programmed VSTIs:
