Silent Circle -  Touch In The Night

When 1984 released their debut song "1984 (I rock och stövlar och stylat hår)" just before summer, it was called ”a shameless tribute to the 80s”, and there is no need to change that label when they are now back with the sequel, called ”Synthpop och filmen G” (”Synthpop and the movie G”).

The theme is once again a nostalgic look at life as ”synthare” in the Swedish countryside in the 80s, with local references to record stores and nightclubs and well-known phenomenas like rental movieboxes, silver bracelets, Peter’s Pop Show on TV and not least the dream of ”bathing as in movie G”. The latter referring to a specific, much noticed, scene in the Swedish cult movie ”G” from 1983.

And, all this to a sound taken from italo disco and UK Hi-NRG as Stock-Aitken-Waterman and Dead or Alive.
