A midtempo knattri-kicker, rattling forward like a frog-fog drop.
Dirty, dark, bouncy – the sound of basslines chewing gravel with a grin.

This re-edit was born from the desire to revisit a powerful and iconic track, while giving it a new sonic dimension. I decided to slightly increase the tempo to add more drive and energy on the dancefloor, while carefully preserving the soul and unique identity of the original.

The idea was to amplify the electronic and hypnotic atmosphere by layering textured pads and evolving soundscapes that grow throughout the track. These elements bring depth and contrast, playing with tension and release, light and darkness. My goal was to create an immersive journey, where every detail enriches the overall experience.

The result is a version that feels more dynamic and profound — designed both for deep listening and for peak moments on a club system. It’s a personal interpretation of Tankwa Town that pays tribute to the original while exploring new electronic nuances.

die Einen trauern dem Sommer, Festivals und am Meer liegen hinterher, die Anderen freuen sich auf Tee trinken, Mützen stricken und in den Daunen lümmeln. Fakt ist jedoch, der Herbst ist da und Akzeptanz klappt besser mit groovy Mukke.
Einmal die Idee gehabt, mit ordentlich Groove in den Herbst zu starten, ist uns Szene- und vor Allem Podcast-Legende @aka_tony schon in die DM's geslided und hat uns seine jahrelang perfektionierten Skills angeboten. Mensch, sind wir was glücklich, mit dem Soundtrack macht auf der Couch lümmeln und den Blättern beim Basejumpen zuschauen richtig Laune. 
Also ihr Gänse -die nicht in den Süden fliegen- Raus aus den Federn, Kaffee ran und Boxen aufdrehen!

1. Wie sieht deine Morgenroutine aus, falls du eine hast?
Der erste Beat am Tag ist Tee. Danach News, Brötchen vom Bäcker – und dann Fokuszeit, als Warm-up für den Kopf und oft noch ein wenig Label-Arbeit. 

2. Hast du ein musikalisches guilty-pleasure?
„Marleen“ von Marianne Rosenberg, bittersüss und zu glatt – aber genau deshalb stark. Dazu Lucio Battisti, italienische Melancholie mit Groove. Songs, die sich zwischen Pop, Poesie und Kitsch bewegen – bewusst als Kontrast gesetzt.

3. In welchem Genre warst du als Teenie zuhause?
Mein Fundament war roh und radikal: Black Uhuru (mit Sly & Robbie), Nina Hagen, Einstürzende Neubauten, Ideal, Gil Scott-Heron, Grace Jones, Fela Kuti – und ja, auch Wham!. Eine Schule aus Dub, Punk, Avantgarde, Consciousness und Pop.
