This song, "Neon Ghosts," uses the imagery of a decaying urban landscape to explore themes of love, memory, and reinvention in a post-apocalyptic world. It plays with the contrast between the fading remnants of the old world (represented by neon signs and billboards) and the enduring light of love and hope.

This started as a group of 5 loops, all increasing in intensity, for a game made for the pirate game jam on itch.io.  

I really loved the hook when I made it and I knew I wanted to use it in something but it sat alone for a few months as just 4 bars and a basic drum track while I worked on other projects.  I felt like doing a boss battle theme and decided to finish it up when the opportunity for the game jam appeared.
