Another chapter of Static Transmission podcast series has been delivered by Brno based dj PDCH who is being resident in clubs such as Kabinet MUZ (Midnight Tales/Legendary Mondays) and Sklenick (Trochatechna). People may know him more for his wide selection of disco, house music and techno of many tastes. His delivery for 10th edition of Static Transmission serie takes him more out of the dance rhythms and he serves more ambient mix for (not only) listening. This mix brings together old school sounds from 70's album of Tangerine Dream, tracks from Max Loderbauer's latest album released last year, then remix and also one remake by Donato Dozzy and then some musically fitting selection from his beloved german label Giegling. Very popular serie Pop Ambient from Kompakt was not forgotten and is presented by Crato's track.

Pavel Chalupa aka PDCH is part of dj scene in Brno, CZ for over a decade now and is actively performing in various clubs all over the city and often also elsewhere. Pavel is known for his specific "whatever" approach to djing where he rarely prepares his material and rather leaves it for the magic of the moment. You can usually hear him spin tracks ranging from zero to around 140 bpm while keepin' it in various moods of ambient, house, techno, breaks, trance and what nots. For this show he reached for some fresh material & favourites, keeping it pacing around 125 bpm with taste of deeper house moods & little bit of trance vibes.

For hours #17 we invited our Czech fellow PDCH to contribute his musical ideas to our little site. Soon after he started djing, he quickly became a constant player in the nightlife of Brno and Prague. Depending on the occasion, he shows a broad range of different genres, from ambient to jazz to techno and one can also hear a certain influence of german house in his dj-sets.

Recorded at his home in the south moravian area, PDCHs mix is like a portrayal of those beautiful landscapes: spheric pads accompanied by hypnotising drum rhythms. An exceptional compilation of modern deep house with a sweet touch of melancholy.

The first time we met was two years ago in 2014 at the Shotgun Festival in Hradek, Czech. Back then we already noticed that Pavel belongs to those kind of people who you can debate about music for hours with a real dope taste of music. And this is how he really impressed us. Despite the fact that @pdch might be known for some of our locals from visiting Lithuania back in the days, we surely wanted to have his handpicked selection on our brain washing machine. For a last decade, he’s been diggin around and playin mostly in Brno (CZ), where he attended in clubs and various underground events. Through this time he also managed to throw a couple of parties himself with Heap, Misonica, Sneaker and few more. 

When the talk comes to personal selections, Pavel prefers to stay bounderless, however tracks are majorly selected from his vinyl collection. From airless ambient, to strictly quantized beats. He mixed them both. In one piece.
