Now I ain’t ever been out of the states but yet I still have had a taste of

United Nations out on dates 

I’m savoring flavors I go for seconds when I grab a plate 

And waking the neighbors when I’m invited back to her estate 

Let me tell you bout a couple women with whom which I’ve seen the world 
The first and most important of course is the Puerto Rican girl 

We’d drink modelos eat tostones she was one of one
We would joke about the chance that one  day we would have a son  

And honestly I wish we did or one day I still hope we do 
So even on the days you’re not around I have a piece of you 

Admired every flaw while still cherishing every featcha
We’re both half Puerto Rican together we’re full Boricua 

But love ain’t always easy life would teach me through practice

reminds me of this Mexican girl with the beauty of an actress 
on the dating apps happened to be one of my first matches 

Was nervous on my way to first date afraid she would catfish
But she wasn’t 
So put together with hair nails and lashes 

I loved the way she laughed and she spoke with so cal accent 

Then she finished school moved back and I haven’t really heard back since 

I handled it well because of who had just come before her 

I wasn’t ready to settle with this one and had to warn her
I guess she didn’t take it well or didn’t like my reason 
So she packed her bags and left and booked a one way flight to Cleveland 
She called me begging sobbing crying asking me to visit 
I told her I wasn’t looking for love but she wouldn’t listen. 

I had to cut it off and put out story on the shelf


That’s right around the time I moved away for myself 
Into a brand new place with brand new faces different it felt 

But with intentions to make the most of the cards I was dealt

In search of what was next on this path of life that was set for me

Thats when I met this wild girl that said that she was Japanese 

Invited me over 
had yakisoba 
And some spam masubi 
We would always start but would never make it through any movie 
as quick as it began just as fast it was that it ended 
Which was fine cuz in my mind something long term was not intended 

Last and least importantly this girl with ties to Thailand. 
She’d bite the hand to feed her stuck a needle in my eyelid 
Made me lose my mind and question everything that I did 
An auction for exhaustion her fake love forced me to high bid 

But honestly our time was the most important of all 
I never would have picked my self up if she didn’t let me fall 
The minutes turned to hours and the hours turned to days 
And now the days I would call ours are so lost and far away. 

There’s others I could mention but they wouldn’t compare
To all the lessons that I learned throughout the time that we shared 

To every girl I loved I thank you from the bottom of my heart 

Because without an end with you I wouldn’t have a brand new start

I miss the days id wake up still believing we could do the most
