A new batch of awesome spring into sumer 2016

I was playing with a band that wanted to do some old funk tunes but I wasn't in love with the songs they chose so I wrote a funk song myself. 

It wasn't a genre that I was familiar with but I had a lot of fun with it. 

The basic structure is pretty simple but getting on the beat has taken a whole year of practice. You don't think about funk - you feel it. It's a gas when you get into it.

How it feels to fly

Peace Society est un groupe d'Indie Rock/Folk originaire de la banlieue parisienne.  Commencé comme un projet solo, le groupe a petit à petit trouvé ses musiciens et surtout cette indéniable alchimie, qui leur a notamment permis de se produire en finale d'un tremplin parisien à la Cigale. 

À la croisée entre John Butler Trio et les RHCP, leur style mélangeant rock, folk et musique du monde leur  a permis d'imaginer leur premier album comme un concept-album. Inspiré entre autres par les œuvres de Pink Floyd et de Dream Theater, le but de ce concept-album est de raconter l'histoire d'une vie de James, un personnage imaginaire créé de toutes pièces. Pourquoi raconter une histoire? Car elle est pour eux un élément fédérateur avec le public. Ils veulent que cet album ne se limite pas simplement à de la musique, mais qu'il soit accompagné d'une vrai expérience scénique en terme de vidéos/animations/décors, un peu à l'instar d'une comédie musicale.
