'Ukulele Makemake (OO-koo-leh-leh MAH-keh-MAH-keh) is Hawaiian for "Ukulele Wish", signifying the desire of the sound of the ukulele.  I saw it as a fitting name, considering that I wanted to find a decent ukulele sample for a while now.  With my new keyboard, the Roland FA-06, I discovered that one of the nylon guitar patches sounded much like an ukulele when strumming at higher pitches.

That became the basis for this originally unplanned song.  After adding semi-traditional Hawaiian elements, such as the pedal steel guitar to accompany the ever-present ukulele, I added an atmospheric flute for a melody.  A bit of jazz-blues playing on piano and a shuffle-styled percussion line helped complete the piece.  Enjoy!

Fearless (Donkey Kong Country - Fear Factory Remix)

This is my 30th record release for WarioWare D.I.Y. on the Nintendo DS. The Record Maker interface is limited, so not all song data can be accurate. Please keep this in mind when rating or commenting. This, like all of my records, is free to import. For my 30th WarioWare D.I.Y. record, I wanted to arrange something truly substantial.  I've done remixed chiptunes before, and even some medleys.  But what about a remixed medley mash-up of various Nintendo series?  The mash-up concept of two familiar melodies played together became the gimmick for this special record.  What better way to celebrate the memories of the music from past first- and second-party Nintendo games?

In this chiptune, you'll discover at least two songs from each featured series being played simultaneously.  That's 23 songs spanning across ten different Nintendo game series.  Songs from the oldest games of each series are panned to the right, while songs from a succeeding generation are panned to the left. Not every classic Nintendo series is represented here, but hopefully the songs featured in this record salute most of the series which made impact throughout the years.

This record marks the final systematic entry to my WarioWare D.I.Y. Records series.  Future entries may be released as special uploads.  I hope you all enjoyed the records!
