For this month’s episode, we’re thrilled to welcome Elsa, a fresh talent steadily making her mark in the scene. In this mix, she delivers something slightly different from her usual sound, yet perfectly aligned with the vision of Altrove.
A masterfully crafted set that evolves with fluidity, shifting moods while maintaining a coherent flow and a strong, consistent sound aesthetic.

"In this mix, I wanted to explore a part of my collection that I rarely play out - bass-heavy, atmospheric tunes in the 80/160bpm range. It’s music I really love, even if it doesn’t often fit into my usual sets. Was fun messing around with pitch too - slowing fast tracks down, speeding others up, and seeing how they blend."

Elsa, hailing from Basel, Switzerland, discovered her love for electronic music early on. While studying music in school, she began experimenting with digital production. It wasn’t long before she joined the DJ collective and label SchanzeAcht, on which she released her first EP in 2022. Since then, she’s played gigs across Switzerland, Germany and France and released on labels like Pressure Dome, Common Ancestors and Companion.

Kyntral is a co-founder of the Argentinian label Danza Nativa and he serves up a deeply immersive trip here. 'Inner Depths' is liquid deep techno in the mould of Neel or Donato Dozzy. Percolating rhythms and dubby undercurrents subsume mind and body while deft little details place you underwater. 'Bloodstone' is a little more lumpy with gentle smattering of percussion of drums that bump. 'Ancient Apparition' is a spacious sound with wispy pads disappearing to infinity, glassy tinkles and undulating drums all getting you into a meditative state. The Patrick Russell Phantom remix is more warped and dark to add a nice counterpoint.

On Saturday 16th August, we welcomed @verdant-recordings label boss Andy Green to Inverted Audio Record Store in Peckham to celebrate the release of 'Rain on Window', the latest EP from Istanbul-based producer Havantepe.

Havantepe is the alias of Turkish-German producer and DJ Ismail Genc, co-founder of the Sublime Porte label. Born near Stuttgart, he relocated to Istanbul in 1994 and has been producing and performing techno since 1999.

Over the years, Havantepe has released on a range of respected imprints, including Dutch label spclnch, 200 Records, and Baum Records. His latest outing arrives via Vertex - a joint venture between Verdant Recordings (Andy Green) and Exalt Records (Jamie Bargeman).

'Rain on Window' EP features three solo productions alongside two remixes, weaving together minimal dub techno textures and atmospheric electronics, crafted to captivate even the most discerning listeners.
