Ari was a little more difficult to pin down exactly early like examples we were given to take inspiration from were a little harder to adapt to video game music since we had already settled on not including vocal elements (think Cheryl Crow). When I got started working on her my immediate thought was moreso like, southern rock stuff like Black Label Society or Wolfmother (heavily Wolfmother). This theme once I sort of had the idea in mind actually didn't really go through too many changes or revisions, at one point I insisted on going more fuzz rock with the sound since clean distortion sounds just didn't really have the energy I really wanted to communicate with it but I think in the end it turned out pretty fun.
