PEAR is a melodic Indie-rock band from Groningen, The Netherlands offering heavy guitar songs with solid drums. But there is always a song hidden in the overwhelming sound with subtle vocal harmonies. Some songs are fast and poppy, some are slower, loud and massive, but always melodic.
PEAR was founded in the early nineties by singer and guitarist Paul Stolp and was soon noticed by the Utrecht Kelt label (eg Daryl-Ann). Debut album Man Go! was born in 1992 and the band did many gigs, a 7" record and even a short tour through Russia. After that PEAR took a break until 2011 when PEAR continued working on the second album. In 2012 L1L0 is released with a freeby DVD about the tour in Russia. Guest vocalists are Jurgen Veenstra (Moonlizards/Avery Plains) and Jacob Veenstra (The Serenes). In 2013 two singels were released, Growing to the Top and Baroque Decency. They all did well in the Indie Charts! In 2015 the song I Know You will be released...
