The 777 Recordings journey has resembled a runaway train going downhill, picking up momentum with every release. Inaugurated with a 12″ from a previously unknown quantity, the Berlin-based record label hasn’t looked back since opening its imaginary doors.

We spoke to label owner Ron Wilson about all that is 777 and he in turn asked label affiliate Futers – whose ‘Untitled’ track features on the recent 'C’est La Vii' compilation – to deliver a mix that captures the label’s personality, traversing house, 2-step, hardcore and jungle, with a few ambient excursions along the way.

The anachoic, blistering tones of Balanced push the vinyl medium to it's absolute limits with Heavy, HEAVY bass and incredulously well produced embellishments making this a DJ tool for the year 3000. 

Leisure laces the flip with something a little closer to the present day no thanks to  barely melodic musical structures peeling away to reveal the rhythmic intricacies and soul rattling subsonics that roll effortlessly through to the bitter end. REWIND.

Sonikku comes riding back into the Lobster Theremin's tropical gardens with a flurry of sparkling, arpeggiator-driven ambient jams featuring three extended reworks from NTS regular Mobbs. 
Sonikku's originals apply a drier and skit-length pop approach to synth-based home listening. Building a borderline-saccharine melodic base to each track then upping the sheen with a tropical and twinkling production. Shots of balearic appear in 'Earth Temple', Christmas jingles echo from the depths of 'Diamond Dust', while 'Sky Garden' channels a more direct emotional palette of warm synthesizer heartbreak. 
Mobbs' approach is to allow each track to breathe around it's core strengths over a longer time frame, whilst enhancing and encouraging each element to make it's space and time to enter the track. The shifts and swaying structures turn shorter synth ideas into fully blown journeys that become hypnotic by the end. A soft, dream-like ride into bliss.

Sidney Charles has built himself an impressive discography in the last couple of years and he makes his EP debut here at OFF with 2 outstanding singles.

The prolific Hamburg native brings rhythm to life with a 909 rendition to jackin house in "Jack On The Rocks", it's all about the classic vibe and the unmistakable shuffle in this one, while we bring Berlin's tech master Santé (Desolat/8Bit) to the remix decks to turn the track into a deeper bass-driven journey with added sax and a groove that will sure get them moving.

Second track is “Soul Station”, also another one for the dancefloor, more signature classic drums, this time with a groovy phat bassline and the ever-so-loved presence of a preacher vocal that sure does the trick…
