I posted the other day about how, in this game, characters default to patrilineal marriage, even if you create a female dominated religion. This is kind of a drag, and can be somewhat game-breaking since you don't always have control over what members of your dynasty do. Fortunately, a work-around (if you're willing to cheat a bit) is to edit the save file to turn patrilineal marriages into matrilineal marriages, and swap the houses of those marriages' already-existing descendants.


In order to turn a regular marriage into a matrilineal marriage, you'll need to know the internal IDs for the husband and wife. In order to change the house of any children, you will also need to know their internal IDs and the internal ID of the house. You can get the character IDs from the console by turning on debug mode and hovering over the character. (I recommend a mod called "Free Console Access" to eliminate the need to restart the game every time you want to enter the console. It will allow you to go in and out of debug mode by pressing F11.) I'm not aware of a way to look up the internal ID of the house in game, but fortunately you can figure it out from the save file. The process is described below.


Sidenote: I believe what's going on here is that "first" and "second" are the people who arranged the marriage, while the other two are the people involved in the marriage. For whatever reason, however, anyone who is matrilineally married is treated like they arranged the marriage themselves, in addition to other characters arranging it (so there's actually two blocks like the above, with different "first" or "second" IDs). In Immersion, Bay Area Soundscape, I created a journey where the listener takes a very long walk fully immersed in the sounds of nature. A windstorm turns into a rainstorm, forming a stream that flows into the ocean where the traveler swims, surrounded in waves, then rests on the seashore of a bay into which the ocean flowed. Submersed in the bay (captured by hydrophones) they journey underwater until they land on a shore inhabited by frogs, then walk to drier land where they encounter crickets late into the night, awakening to birdcalls as dawn breaks.


As an environmentalist since the 1970s, several of my works address environmental concerns. With Immersion, I used some recordings I made from as early as the 1970s because current noise pollution makes it impossible to capture some of the sounds I hoped to record again, despite sophisticated programs designed to help clean up noisy recordings.

How do I debug the finally block in a try ... finally... in the event of an uncaught exception? It seems that no matter what I do with the exception settings or debugger, Visual Studio will not let me proceed past the point of the thrown exception in the try block in order to debug the finally code.


Context: I have a program that controls some hardware instruments used for taking electronic measurements in a lab, e.g. programmable PSUs. In the event that something goes wrong, I want it to fail fast: first shut down the instruments to prevent possible physical damage and then exit. The code to shut them down is in the finally block, but I have no way to debug that this code works in the error case. I don't want to try to handle any possible errors, just turn the instruments and then shut the program down. Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way?


A finally block is never executed if the exception results in a crash of the application, that is the case in your code.To debug the finally block in your exemple, you have to put the whole code of your main function in an other try statement, and catch the exception to prevent the application to crash, like this:

He love the fact that the profiles sounded almost identical and that the feel was there unlike other units.
