Mad Max: Fury Road

 is a 2015 Australian post-apocalyptic action film co-written, co-produced, and directed by George Miller. Miller collaborated with Brendan McCarthy and Nico Lathouris on the screenplay. The fourth instalment in the 
Mad Max
 franchise,[7] it was produced by Village Roadshow Pictures, Kennedy Miller Mitchell, and RatPac-Dune Entertainment and distributed by Roadshow Entertainment in Australia and by Warner Bros. Pictures internationally. The film entered pre-production at 20th Century Fox in the early 2000s and was set to star Mel Gibson, who had portrayed Max Rockatansky in the first three films in the series, but production was postponed after either the September 11 attacks in 2001 caused "the American dollar [to collapse] against the Australian dollar, and our budget ballooned",[18] as Miller has said in several interviews since the film was released in 2015,[7][19] or due to security concerns and tightened travel and shipping restrictions during the lead up to the Iraq War caused issues with the proposed Namibian shoot, as had been reported previously.[20][21][22] In either event, Miller said he then "had to commit to 
Happy Feet
 because we had the digital facility booked to do it", and by the time he got back to work on the 
Mad Max
 project four years later, Gibson "had all that turbulence in his life."[18] Both Miller and Gibson himself said the passage of time had made Gibson's age a factor, since the film "wasn't about an old road warrior."[18]


Director George Miller initially described the film: 
"Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the road war which follows. It is based on the Word Burgers of the History Men and eyewitness accounts of those who survived."

Miller had always envisioned the film to be one giant road war, a unique screen spectacle that had not been attempted before. That being said, he still constructed in-depth back stories for all the major characters. The backstories of Nux, Immortan Joe, Max Rockatansky and Imperator Furiosa became the focus of a comic book series collected into a trade paperback release in August 2015.[47]


Because the film mostly takes place out on the desert road, we knew it could get visually boring very quickly. Which is again the reason for going with a rich colourful palette. Watching 2 hours of de-saturated desert tones would be dull. Once there was a rough cut of the film, we looked at the scenes and worked out how we could break up the visuals to create some variety in looks and also how to differentiate the landscapes and story points. Every time I worked on a shot, I kept saying to myself "make it look like a graphic novel".


George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road is nothing less than utterly astonishing. From frame one, Miller paints the cinema screen with a gleefully vibrant vision of chaos and elemental fury. Every performance, every shot, every ingenious switch-up of narrative; It all comes back to George Miller and his prophetic revitalization of cinema. Auguste and Louis Lumière would be both terrified and insanely proud of the stupendous clarity and craft on display, mainly because Fury Road showcases a sense of confidence that hasn't been seen in cinema in a very long time.

The music and background score of the movie were composed by Harris Jayaraj. Let me start by saying that I love his work, that I am full aware that he always uses his disclaimer "not a historian, just a fan of history" and that by his output (hours of content on a topic with only months to prepare) there will always be some things which are not 100% accurate.


Do we have any practicing historians or people studying history in this thread who could give some insight into how credible Dan Carlin's history podcast is? I am asking because I noticed more than once that a story of Dan (most often the most outrageous/ interesting stories) that I looked up later were sometimes debunked years ago, urban legends or have a very weak source. Though while listening to his podcast facts and fiction are mixed together without mentioning the credibility of the sources which makes it hard to fully enjoy the content.


The first 10 minutes of it were good, where he talked about his gaming history. Then he had the developer of some WW2 multiplayer FPS (at least that is what I think it was, I stopped caring when they said multiplayer) on and it was really boring. Turned it off halfway through, maybe it got better?

I do sort of feel like a lot of this has to do with timing and stuff that you have no control over. Not to sound like a sports coach, but it is sort of where timing and preparation meet. I look at that as a way to better understand eras and timing in other situations, and not just in TV and radio which are the obvious analogies, but look all the way back through history and start to wonder how much timing and individual preparation met at a crossroads that allowed something interesting to happen.

I graduated the University of Colorado (Boulder) with a B.A. in history and then got into the television news profession (only to find out that "journalism being the first draft of history" was a popular degree amongst "hard" news reporters).


Before doing the HH podcast, I was already doing my other podcast (Common Sense, which debuted in 2005) which focuses on current events and which was akin to the talk radio work I had been doing for about a dozen years prior to moving from terrestrial radio to the internet. The soundtrack album itself became the best-selling symphonic album of all time;[1] it was certified Gold and Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and won numerous accolades including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, and Grammy Awards in the categories of Best Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or a Television Special and Best Instrumental Composition (for the "Main Title"). It was also nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. In 2004, it was preserved by the Library of Congress into the National Recording Registry, calling it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". In 2005, the American Film Institute named the original 
Star Wars
 soundtrack as the most memorable score of all time for an American film.[2]


The 
Star Wars
 soundtrack saw subsequent reissues since its initial release. In 2016, the album was re-released by Sony Classical Records on vinyl, CD, and digital formats alongside Williams' other

The original 1977 release of the soundtrack, entitled 
Star Wars - Original Soundtrack
, included a poster of a painting by science fiction artist John Berkey, depicting the final battle over the Death Star from the film's end.[5] The album was released as a double LP which was formatted for an autochanger record player; one disc had sides one and four with the other having sides two and three. This allowed a person to stack sides one and two on the player, then flip the stack over for sides three and four, allowing the listener to have over half an hour of uninterrupted music before they needed to flip the discs over.[6]


First release on LP by 20th Century Records. For the original soundtrack, Williams selected 75 minutes of music out of the 88 minute score. To provide musical variety, it did not follow the film's chronological order.


Walt Disney Records reissued the original 1977 soundtrack album in digital formats and streaming services on January 1, 2017, and on LP record on December 1, 2017, to coincide with the film's fortieth anniversary that same year. The LP reissue featured a remastered soundtrack, hand-etched hologram art, and a 48-page book containing production photographs, liner notes, and essays on John Williams and the music of

The score for 
Star Wars
 was recorded over the span of eight days in the month of March 1977. The 1997 Special Edition soundtrack release by RCA Victor included a detailed look at the recording log for all the cues in the film.


In my opinion Anakins dark deeds is the best soundtrack from the whole saga. The emotions and what bad happened in the movie gives me chills every time. I remembered when I first saw it I was 8 years and so shocked, and even today 10 years after I listen sometimes to this and thinking how great it sounds and how deep and mature it is. Operation Flashpoint
 features a wide variety of Cold War-era equipment, all of which can be used by the player, depending on availability in any given mission. Available firearms range from standard-issue military assault rifles such as the M16A2 and the AK-74, machine guns, and more specialized weaponry such as sniper rifles and suppressed submachine guns, all of which have iron sights or telescopic sights that the player can use to aim.[7]


The gun can fire two types of ammunition, ball and shell. Shells consist of several pellets and have decent stopping power, but ball is not particularly powerful. Neither type of ammunition is particularly accurate. Each ball or shell takes up one whole inventory slot (up to a maximum of ten), meaning that it's impossible to carry more than 10 rounds of ammunition for this gun at any one time! (For comparison, a 30 round magazine for an assault rifle fits in the same space as one shell for the shotgun) Combined, all of these negative traits make the CZ-581 the worst weapon in the game.


The AK-74 features as the standard issue assault rifle of the renegade Soviet forces. Its performance is very similar to that of the M16A2. It is incorrectly depicted as having a third fire mode, 3-round burst, in addition to single shot and full auto. The model has an AK-47 type downward angled stock (as opposed to the straight stock of the AKM and AK-74) and a 7.62 shaped magazine, which suggests that the developers simply took the AK-47 model, re-skinned the magazine and added an AK-74 muzzle brake, and passed the result off as an AK-74. Some examples come with a GP-25 grenade launcher attachment which can fire both grenades and flares for nighttime illumination.


The M16A2 features prominently as the standard issue assault rifle on the US side. The player is trained in its use in the campaign tutorial and it is available in the majority of missions. It is highly accurate in single shot mode and its sights are superior to the AK-74's. In the mission 'Combined Arms', one soldier in the player's squad proclaims his admiration of the M16, asking "How could you 
not
 love it?". Some examples come with a mounted M203 grenade launcher which can fire both grenades and flares for nighttime illumination. Also, the ordinary one can fire rifle grenades (grenades that fit onto the end of a rifle barrel and use a bullet trap to harness the energy of a fired bullet for propulsion), in the game referred to as mortars.





The Sa vz. 58 is featured in the game as the "AK47 CZ" (despite having virtually nothing to do with the Kalashnikov rifle series). It is the main assault rifle of the Resistance forces (who appear to be of Czech origin). Like the Kalashnikov rifles in the game, it has an incorrect three-round burst fire mode. It is functionally identical to the AK-47, and even uses the exact same magazines, which is incorrect.

he may be cute but don't let that face fool you. Hamster is a all-around legendary in his damage , Hp and speed (when buffed with wrecking ball) in siege you may as well go for the food stash as you can walk in early game. Hamster has the ablity to destroy any arrmy/hero with ease with fear or just walk past them without taking any damage with wrecking ball (if they don't have high hevay armor) any hero that is not ready for this beast of a hamster would be torned to sherds even just hiting make him stronger. he even has a range attack in the form of hamster throw and has a power strike with hamster uppercut. in co-op and 2v2 pvp he works well with heroes that can buff him like stickbug or moth making him a super god. as he him self said 
"I'm a god amongst bugs."




with being a god that doesnt mean he is unkillable Hamster stugles to fight hevay armor foes due to his lack of armor piercing(rendering claws can some what help) and focusing your firepower can bring the god down due to having litte to no heavy armor heroes like pillbug and other high dps heroes can cut his HP like a giant centipede eating a big apple


Hamster Heroes is an action game based around controlling a hamster encapsulated in a ball rolling through environments similar to the concept of the Super Monkey Ball games. It builds on the concept of the earlier Habitrail Hamster Ball by the same developer and with very similar mechanics. The player steers a hamster through environments floating in the sky with small ledges and platforms to reach the exit without falling off. The game has a large amount of levels as small courses to complete and then move on, unlocking the next one. Levels can be played in a 'normal' mode or in a 'time attack' mode. Moving forward without interruption builds up a speed meter and causes the hamster to go faster. The game supports local multiplayer games through split-screen for up four players racing each other on the same course.

btw, forgot that D.Va is one of the heroes with the lowest numbers of in-game interactions. Idk the exact number and I think there are a couple with less. But one of her interactions (with Ana) is also SHARED with Lucio and Tracer.






The Good

Graphical textures and models are decent and the lighting throughout the levels is easy on the eyes. The scale of the hamsters is okay and gives plenty of room to run around the platforms. Some of the gameplay mechanics are unique, such as pushing certain walls to connect platforms together. As difficult as the game is, you do at least have unlimited tries.


The Bad

The lack of storyline, cutscenes, character background and extras coupled with uninspiring music and a single level background makes the game quite bland. You just pick your favourite hamster (which are only cosmetically different) and away you go. The gameplay is like a 3D version of The Irritating Maze but with awkward physics. The cameras shakes and moves around like there's an earthquake as you struggle to maintain the hamster orb's momentum. The only sure way to pass every level is to move slowly and that's not fun.


The Bottom Line
