Selador Showcase – The 20th Incarnation Dave Seaman and Steve Parry are on a mission. It has consumed their whole adult lives. Its all about music. Finding music, playing music, creating music…and above all, SHARING music. As the means of production, creation, distribution and all those other words ending with -ion have changed over the decades, Steve & Dave have effortlessly gone with the flow, never allowing the mission to be knocked off track. And for the last 11 years, the method by which they have shared new music is though their beloved, bespoke label, Selador. Seladors Showcase compilation releases have long proved a prime hunting ground for the best of the new, and we now reach the twentieth incarnation of the series with another collection of exclusive club cuts especially assembled from around the world. Hailing from a long line of talented Dutch producers, he started experimenting with music from the age of 14,  inspired by artists like  Sasha, Nick Warren and John Digweed. He started as a producer in the Trance scene but his switch to the Progressive genre for Alex was a massive decision and as it appears a very successful one. 

His music has been released on the biggest labels such as Sudbeat, Lost & Found, The Soundgarden, Replug Records and Movement Recordings to name a few. Welcome to a colourful landscape of sounds.

BIO:

Pedro Sanmartín A.K.A. Basic Shape was born in Barcelona in 1981 and has always seen art and later music as a way of inhabiting the world. 
His background in Fine Arts led him naturally into music production and vinyl mixing, not as performance, but as craft and method.

He began his professional DJ career in 2005 after a period immersed into the club culture of Germany, which felt less like a scene and more like a way of moving through life. 
Since then, he has shaped a sober, attentive sound, somewhere between the spaces of house and techno and electro that few explore with ease.


His productions have been released on labels such as Seven Villas, Everything Will Be Ok, Loot Recordings, Univack,Tronic and Tenampa to name a few and have found their way into the playlists of artists like Hernán Cattáneo, Pablo Bolívar, Christian Smith, and Danny Howells. 
In 2020, he released on Seven Villas Music his debut  album "Unfolding Nature," a record that avoids clichés in favor of simplicity and essence.


Pedro has collaborated with platforms like Ibiza Global Radio,Ibiza Sonica, Deepersounds, and British Airways, and has performed live and DJ sets at events such as the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) or Electro Beach and at venues like Nitsa Club, Razzmatazz, Insomnia, and Culture Box name a few, sharing lineups with artists like Guy J, Rrose, Pablo Bolívar, and Nhar.


A prolific producer and DJ, Pedro Sanmartín has carved his own signature sound within the electronic global landscape: a deep, emotive, and hypnotic form of house, techno and electro that resists shortcuts and spectacle. His music unfolds quietly, offering those who listen a rare space shaped by patience, depth, and slow revelation.
