The First Gathering pulls together 5 killer tracks from 5 exciting artists based all over the globe, each seemingly sharing a healthy disregard for convention.

Love Business, a new project of Copenhageners multi-artist Lotte Rose Kjær Skau, Uffe Christensen and Jeppe Lauritsen kicks things off with ‘Your Soul is Like the Wind’ - a loose and disco tinged leftfield synth pop track with a killer hook and a tongue in cheek vibe.

Stuttgart based producer and DJ Leif Müller’s (@leif-mueller) ‘Nova’ is a different beast - a sleek and low slung dancefloor roller featuring a bubbling arpeggio and trancendent, beautiful pads.

‘U<3U’ by New York duo Whatever/Whatever (@whateverwhatever-1) aka electronic music icon Justin Strauss (A/JUS/TED) and Bryan Mette delivers a powerful acidic banger lled with equally strong grooves.

The always unpredictable Bryan Kessler (@bryankessler) from Cologne brings ‘Too Young to Be Old’ to the table. A surprising and energetic percussive workout that slays on every dancefloor.

Kraftgalli (@kraftgalli) is not only the name of an all-over suit used extensively by experienced mountaineers as well as notorious bums living on the streets of Reykjavík. It is also the name of brand new electronic outlet of Icelandic cross-genre multi-instrumentalist musician ArnljóturSigurðsson. Kraftgalli’s first outing finds him diving into his not- guilty pleasures, pushing them to the max, bouncing with glee!

Exclusive Mental Overdrive 'Mbira-Kalimba (Charlotte Bendiks & Boska Remix)'

Tromsø producers Charlotte Bendiks and Boska both known for releases on Hivern Discs or Studio Barnhus take on remix duties for Mental Overdrive's 'Mbira-Kalimba' - for a good reason as Charlotte has supported the original version from the beginning. Bendiks' and Boska's remix approach mainly focuses on the hypnotic core of the track and giving the percussive elements more room to unfold their warmths. Therefore the duo stripped down the bass line and made it sound more hollow, which depicts a contrast to the mbira and kalimba soundscapes. The result is a harmonic construct that could tie the listener forever in its endless loop without having the slightest urge of getting out.

Mental Overdrive's 'DARTRAX EP' will be released on MUSAR February 15th, 2019.

Even the title says as much ‘Fucked Up Mama’: a scuzzy, frazzled jam rich in oiled distortion and lighting strike synths and a rising case of venomous acid mid-way, there’s a grit in the groove that’s going to take more than a few lockdown handwashes to feel clean from.
